paseo-advisorLaunches one separate agent through Paseo to give a second opinion on the current task, with a self-contained briefing and no permission to edit files.
The skill spins up a single advisor agent that reads the situation and gives a judgment while you stay in charge of the work. First the agent reads the paseo skill and calls list_profiles, then picks a profile by name if you gave one, or the profile whose notes best fit the question (design and approach, audit and review, or research and root-cause analysis). When several fit, it prefers a different provider family from its own so the view is fresh.
Because the advisor starts with no context, the briefing is self-contained: the question, what has been considered and ruled out, relevant files by path instead of pasted contents, and an explicit request for a recommendation with reasoning. It ends with a no-edits instruction so the advisor only analyzes. If your request names another skill, such as unslop, the advisor is told to run that skill against the task. The agent then creates the advisor with an Advisor title prefix, waits for it and combines the advisor's verdict with its own recommendation.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 29db2b7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Paseo Advisor Second Opinion loads about 756 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 56 tokens; SKILL.md has 365 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 365 words (~756 tokens).
“Single agent. Reads the situation you're in. Gives a judgment. You decide what to do — the advisor doesn't drive the work.”

Paseo Advisor Second Opinion fits situations like: wanting a second opinion on a design before implementing it; asking an outside agent to review the approach without handing over the work; getting an independent view on the root cause of a stubborn bug.
Run `npx skills add getpaseo/paseo --skill paseo-advisor -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/paseo-advisor in getpaseo/paseo) into .claude/skills/paseo-advisor in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add getpaseo/paseo --skill paseo-advisor -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/paseo-advisor in getpaseo/paseo) into .agents/skills/paseo-advisor in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add getpaseo/paseo --skill paseo-advisor -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/paseo-advisor, .gemini/skills/paseo-advisor, .github/skills/paseo-advisor and .opencode/skills/paseo-advisor in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Paseo Advisor Second Opinion is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: Paseo, with the paseo skill available.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Paseo Advisor Second Opinion has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 756 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
