Validate OAuth Integration
rome-os/rome
Validate a Rome-managed OAuth integration end-to-end — prove a user can click Connect and Rome ends up holding a delegated token it can use to call the provider's API.

connect-appsConnect an administrator-enabled SaaS app for a user with a one-time OAuth consent link.
Connect Apps is an agent skill from yc-software/qm. Connect an administrator-enabled SaaS app for a user with a one-time OAuth consent link.
Its SKILL.md is about 750 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Backend & APIs, covering App automation through connectors and OAuth and OpenID Connect. It works with Slack and Composio. The repository describes itself as: Multiplayer agent harness for work. The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 0492745. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
AGENT_OAUTH_CONSENT_TOKENFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Connect Apps loads about 746 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 25 tokens; SKILL.md has 424 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from yc-software/qm at commit 0492745, republished under its MIT licence (© yc-software). 424 words, ~746 tokens.
.claude/skills/connect-apps/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Check Composio availability through GET /v1/composio/toolkits on the authenticated QM API. When available, load the composio skill and use its discovery and consent flow instead
of the direct OAuth flow below. An empty direct OAuth list or a native
oauth_not_configured error does not describe Composio availability. Preserve explicit
app restrictions and account permissions; never switch credentials to evade a denial.
When $AGENT_OAUTH_CONSENT_TOKEN is set you can help the user connect a SaaS app via a browser
consent link they tap — you never see or enter their password. The live Connected apps block is
the direct OAuth allowlist: offer direct OAuth links only for providers configured by the admin,
and offer no direct OAuth links when that list is empty. Mint a single-use link for the selected provider, then give the user the full URL to open:
curl -sS -X POST "$AGENT_API_URL/v1/connectors/oauth/consent/mint"
-H "X-Agent-Capability: $AGENT_OAUTH_CONSENT_TOKEN" -H 'content-type: application/json'
-d '{"provider":"<configured-provider>"}'
connectUrl — give the user THAT exact URL (it is the full public tap-through
link). Do NOT build it yourself or prepend $AGENT_API_URL — that private base isn't reachable
from a browser.oauth_not_configured, the native provider is not configured. Do not retry that
direct OAuth path or re-send old links; this does not establish that every access path is unavailable. When someone asks to connect Slack or use their existing web connectors from Slack, offer the personal Slack linking widget in web chat, or direct them to QM web Settings (/?view=settings) and Link your Slack account from Slack. They must sign in with their existing web account before connecting. This authorizes personal Slack access and links their verified Slack identity to that QM account. Workspace bot installation is separate. Do not create a generic Composio Slack link or infer identity from matching emails.
In web chat, offer personal Slack account linking with ::link-slack-account{} as a standalone paragraph, outside code fences and quotations. Use it when someone wants Slack search, actions on their behalf, or access to their existing web connectors from Slack. This shows the personal linking card and its verified connection status, without the general app picker. Company bot installation must be completed first; use ::add-to-slack{} for that separate administrator step. In Slack, send them to QM web Settings while signed into their existing web account; web widget directives do not render in Slack.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Connect Apps needs credentials named AGENT_OAUTH_CONSENT_TOKEN. Our summary lists: A credential in AGENT_OAUTH_CONSENT_TOKEN.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 746 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
