What it does

Kubernetes Operations is an agent skill from WrongStack/WrongStack. Operate and deploy owned Kubernetes workloads with explicit cluster, namespace and rollout identity. Use when configuring Deployments, Services, probes, resources or diagnosing a known workload; do not expand an application task into uncontrolled cluster administration.

Its SKILL.md is about 860 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Container orchestration and Deployment. It works with Kubernetes. The repository describes itself as: An AI coding agent that reads your code, edits files, runs commands, and reasons through bugs — across a terminal REPL, a full-screen TUI, and a browser UI, while you keep your… The licence is MIT.

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Pin kube context, cluster, namespace, workload and authorized operations before reading or changing resources.
  2. Use versioned manifests/images and inspect the actual diff/plan before apply.
  3. Separate startup, readiness and liveness; a failing dependency should not create a destructive restart loop by default.
  4. Define resource requests/limits and rollout/disruption behavior from workload needs.
  5. Keep Secrets, service accounts, access policy and storage ownership explicit; do not print secret payloads or delete volumes for…
  6. Confirm rollout completion and user-route behavior; applied manifests are not deployed-service proof.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit a744bdc. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • kubernetes.io

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Kubernetes Operations loads about 859 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 73 tokens; SKILL.md has 299 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~73
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~859

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Kubernetes Operations

Selection card

  • Task: Operate Kubernetes workloads and autoscaling. / TR: Kubernetes workload ve otomatik ölçekleme yönet.
  • Start: Identify the authorized target, current health and rollback boundary.
  • Finish: apply the acceptance checks below; report observed results and unresolved constraints.

Overview

Operate and deploy owned Kubernetes workloads with explicit cluster, namespace and rollout identity.

Checked stable Kubernetes target: 1.37.1 on 2026-10-09. Verify managed-provider support, API versions, client/server skew and addon compatibility before upgrades.

Rules

  5. Keep Secrets, service accounts, access policy and storage ownership explicit; do not print secret payloads or delete volumes for troubleshooting.
  6. Confirm rollout completion and user-route behavior; applied manifests are not deployed-service proof.

Workflow

  1. Inspect the named workload, events, focused logs and effective deployment configuration.
  2. Resolve stable platform/API compatibility and the narrow repair/rollout.
  3. Validate manifests and preview changes in the exact target context.
  4. Perform authorized apply/rollout and observe probes, replica/version identity and application requests.
  5. Report rollout/recovery and persistent data boundary separately.

Before returning

Context/namespace/workload explicit; API/skew support checked; rollout and user behavior observed; data and unrelated workloads preserved.

Sources

Versioned facts checked 2026-10-09; refresh authoritative sources before new installs/upgrades. Kubernetes releases, Deployment contract.

Skills in scope

  • container-hardening — review and improve container image/runtime protection for an owned application with tested compatibility.
  • release-rollback — plan and execute authorized release promotion or rollback with exact artifact and data compatibility.
  • observability — observability contracts and verification.
  • infrastructure-as-code — build and maintain Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi or cloud-native IaC with reviewable plans and protected state.

Can I use Kubernetes Operations in Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot?

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add WrongStack/WrongStack --skill kubernetes-operations -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/kubernetes-operations, .gemini/skills/kubernetes-operations, .github/skills/kubernetes-operations and .opencode/skills/kubernetes-operations in your project.

What does Kubernetes Operations need to run?

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Kubernetes Operations is instructions for the agent only.

Does Kubernetes Operations access the network?

SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: kubernetes.io. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.

Is Kubernetes Operations safe to install?
