Its SKILL.md is about 380 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Mobile, covering iOS development. It works with WooCommerce, iOS, Ruby and Xcode. The licence is GPL-2.0.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit b061662. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
BashReadFrom allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
bundlerbenvrubyFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Bootstrap loads about 378 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 17 tokens; SKILL.md has 174 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Bash, ReadAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from woocommerce/woocommerce-ios at commit b061662, republished under its GPL-2.0 licence (© woocommerce). 174 words, ~378 tokens.

First, check the required Xcode version and select it if available:
cat .xcode-version # check required version
xcode-select -p # check currently selected XcodeIf the selected Xcode doesn't match, look for the required version under /Applications/ and switch to it via xcode-select -s <path>. If it's not installed, note this to the user and proceed with the currently selected Xcode.
Then, ensure the correct Ruby version is active. The required version is in .ruby-version.
Detect which Ruby version manager is available and use it:
rvm: rvm install ruby-$(cat .ruby-version) && rvm use ruby-$(cat .ruby-version)rbenv: rbenv install $(cat .ruby-version) && rbenv local $(cat .ruby-version)chruby / mise: activate the version from .ruby-version using the appropriate commandVerify with ruby --version before proceeding.
Then run the dependency install command:
bundle install && bundle exec rake dependenciesIf the command fails:

Install dependencies and build tools for WooCommerce iOS. An agent skill from woocommerce/woocommerce-ios. Bootstrap is an agent skill from woocommerce/woocommerce-ios.
Bootstrap fits situations like: tasks that involve iOS development.
Run `npx skills add woocommerce/woocommerce-ios --skill bootstrap -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/bootstrap in woocommerce/woocommerce-ios) into .claude/skills/bootstrap in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add woocommerce/woocommerce-ios --skill bootstrap -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/bootstrap in woocommerce/woocommerce-ios) into .agents/skills/bootstrap in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add woocommerce/woocommerce-ios --skill bootstrap -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/bootstrap, .gemini/skills/bootstrap, .github/skills/bootstrap and .opencode/skills/bootstrap in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Bootstrap needs the command-line tools its instructions call (bundle, rbenv and ruby). Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Bash, Read.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Bootstrap is published under the GPL-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 378 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with Bootstrap: Xcode Project Setup (aiskillstore/marketplace, 430 stars), Orca iOS Simulator Control (stablyai/orca, 87k stars), Apple Crash Log .NET Symbolication (dotnet/skills, 5.6k stars) and Update Swiftui APIs (AvdLee/SwiftUI-Agent-Skill, 3.7k stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.
