triageTakes a bug report for the triagebot-action GitHub Action through reproduction, root-cause diagnosis, an intended-behavior check and a fix attempt.
This is a repository-specific workflow for triagebot-action, a small TypeScript GitHub Action whose code lives in src/ and test/. You supply the issue title and body, or a GitHub issue number or URL that the agent fetches with gh issue view. Four stages follow, each handed to a subagent to keep context separate and each with its own instruction file: reproduce, diagnose, verify and fix.
The flow stops early when that makes sense. Skipped or non-reproducible issues, low-confidence diagnoses and a verdict of intended behavior all jump straight to the output, and if infrastructure trouble persists after two attempts the agent reports with the data it has. The result is a structured report that an orchestrator uses to post a comment and manage labels.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 28e7410. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
ghFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Triagebot Action Bug Triage loads about 639 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 355 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 355 words (~639 tokens).
“Triage a bug report end-to-end: reproduce the bug, diagnose the root cause, verify whether the behavior is intentional, and attempt a fix.”

This is a repository-specific workflow for triagebot-action, a small TypeScript GitHub Action whose code lives in src/ and test/. You supply the issue title and body, or a GitHub issue number or URL that the agent fetches with gh issue view.
Triagebot Action Bug Triage fits situations like: investigating a newly filed bug in the triagebot-action repository; checking whether a reported behavior is intended before changing any code; producing a structured triage report that automation can turn into an issue comment.
Run `npx skills add withastro/astro --skill triage -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/triage in withastro/astro) into .claude/skills/triage in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add withastro/astro --skill triage -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/triage in withastro/astro) into .agents/skills/triage in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add withastro/astro --skill triage -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/triage, .gemini/skills/triage, .github/skills/triage and .opencode/skills/triage in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Triagebot Action Bug Triage needs the command-line tools its instructions call (gh). Our summary lists: GitHub CLI (gh) to fetch issue details when only an issue reference is given.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use gh, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Triagebot Action Bug Triage has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 639 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
