q-presentationsGenerates branded slide deck images from written content, with a content analysis step, a layout catalog and scripts that merge the slides into PowerPoint or PDF.
Built on the baoyu-slide-deck project, this skill turns written content into a sequence of slide images rather than a traditional template-based deck. A bundled script generates each slide image through GPT Image 2 by default, needing an OPENAI_API_KEY, or through Gemini's image model with a GEMINI_API_KEY, after which another script overlays a Dr. Q logo and Bun-based TypeScript scripts merge the images into a PowerPoint file or a PDF.
Its reference files cover a content analysis framework, an outline template, design guidelines for audience, typography and color, a layout catalog with an overlay-safe policy and fallback rules, a base image-generation prompt, preset-to-dimension mappings and per-style specifications, plus a schema for saved preferences. Core principles state that each slide should be self-explanatory for reading as well as presenting, that the flow stay clear when scrolled through, and that style stay consistent across the whole deck. In plan mode the skill only writes a short plan and exits, deferring the actual analysis, image generation and file merging until plan mode ends.
2 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d8aaee7. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/, which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pipnpxFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):
github.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
OPENAI_API_KEYGEMINI_API_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Q-Presentations Slide Deck Generator loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~26k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 39 tokens; SKILL.md has 418 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from TyrealQ/q-skills at commit d8aaee7, republished under its MIT licence (© TyrealQ). 418 words, ~1,134 tokens.

If in plan mode: write a brief plan — "Run q-presentations skill: analyze content, confirm style/audience preferences, generate outline and prompts, generate slide images, overlay logo, merge to PPTX/PDF." — then exit plan mode immediately. Do NOT attempt content analysis, image generation, or file merging while plan mode is active.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Q-Presentations Slide Deck Generator needs the command-line tools its instructions call (pip and npx) and credentials named OPENAI_API_KEY and GEMINI_API_KEY. Our summary lists: Python with openai, google-genai, Pillow and python-dotenv; Bun runtime (Node.js 18+); An OPENAI_API_KEY or GEMINI_API_KEY depending on the image model.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: github.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Q-Presentations Slide Deck Generator is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.1k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 25k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
