Competency Unpacker

social-emotional-learningAdds a social-emotional learning goal next to the subject concept in an OpenMAIC classroom lesson, without turning the class into a counseling or homeroom session.
The skill treats social-emotional learning (SEL) as a second goal that runs beside the main subject concept instead of replacing it. Before planning pages, the agent states one concept goal and one SEL goal in a sentence each. It picks one or two abilities, such as self-awareness, empathy, collaboration or responsible decision-making, and names the behavior that would show the ability was practiced.
The goal is then built into pages that already exist: an opening hook that lets students name how they feel, a multi-agent discussion with real disagreement about ideas, a hands-on interactive with a frustration, feedback and retry path, and a closing reflection that asks about both the concept and the ability. Guardrails say students are never pushed to share trauma or private experiences, nothing is diagnosed, and no shaming or public ranking is used. If SEL should become a full second storyline, the agent asks you to confirm the scope first.

Social-Emotional Learning Lesson Design loads about 435 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 108 tokens; SKILL.md has 73 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/social-emotional-learning/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Social-Emotional Learning Lesson Design is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: An OpenMAIC classroom lesson being planned or edited.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Social-Emotional Learning Lesson Design is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 435 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
