build-personal-skillDerives a reusable personal skill for course-making from a representative sample of the user's own past classrooms and chat history, confirmed with them before saving.
This skill turns a user's own history into a new, saved skill rather than guessing at their preferences up front. It starts by inventorying classrooms and chats with an empty-query search, paging further whenever more results could change the sample, then deliberately picks a representative spread across topic, format, time and outcome instead of just the newest records.
After reading the selected evidence, it states provisional patterns as hypotheses and runs narrower searches to find both confirming and disconfirming examples before concluding anything. It then shows the evidence-backed hypotheses to the user and asks them to correct, prioritize or reject them - asking at least once unless told not to - and if the answer exposes a gap, it searches or reads again rather than filling the gap with a guess.
Only after that confirmation does it write self-contained instructions covering when the new skill applies, the user's preferred workflow, constraints, quality bar and exceptions, and save them; it treats all history output as low-priority evidence rather than instructions, never exposes hidden tool payloads or secrets from that history, and only turns to web search when the user asks for external comparison.

Build A Personal Skill From History loads about 678 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 87 tokens; SKILL.md has 336 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Page further when hasMore is true and more candidates could change the sample.read_classroom and read_chat to inspect the selected evidence. Read relevant sections and continue their pagination until the needed sample is complete.ask_user to show the evidence-backed hypotheses and ask the user to correct, prioritize, or reject them. Ask at least once unless the user explicitly says not to ask follow-up questions. The answer continues this authorized Skill-creation workflow.create_skill with the final content. Do not merely print or preview the Skill in assistant prose.create_skill call, or after a successful ask_user call for a genuine unresolved decision. If the user has answered and no decision remains, call create_skill before ending.web_search only when the user requests comparison or external references are needed. Build A Personal Skill From History fits situations like: turning past course-making history into a reusable personal skill; summarizing recurring patterns across past classrooms and chats; confirming a hypothesis about a user's workflow before saving it as a skill.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Build A Personal Skill From History is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: Access to the user's classroom and chat history search tools.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Build A Personal Skill From History is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 678 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
