deep-interactivePlans online courses so learners manipulate simulations, diagrams, code, games or 3D scenes on most pages, with slides only for the opening and the close.
The skill changes how a course outline is planned: a page counts as a slide only when the learner has nothing to manipulate on it. Scene one is a slide that frames the question and says what the learner will play with, the body is made of interactive scenes that each isolate one mechanism, variable or structure, and the last scene is a slide or quiz that pulls together what the manipulation showed.
Five widget types are on offer, simulation, diagram, code, game and visualization3d, and two interactive scenes in a row may not share a type. Each interactive scene carries a widgetOutline filled in for its type, for example key variables for a simulation or nodes with parent ids for a diagram. Scene titles name what the learner does or discovers, and keyPoints describe the interaction and what it reveals instead of listing facts. A constraints file, outline-constraints.json, ships with the skill.

Deep Interactive Course Design loads about 681 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 90 tokens; SKILL.md has 304 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/deep-interactive/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Default to doing, not reading. A page earns the slide type only when the
learner has nothing to manipulate on it.
slide: it frames the question the course answers and tells the
learner what they are about to play with. One page, no more.interactive. Each body scene isolates one mechanism, one
variable, one structure — so the learner can change it and watch the result.slide or a quiz that consolidates what the
manipulation showed.widgetType. Two
simulations in a row is a design failure; vary the modality as the concept
moves from "watch it" to "trace it" to "predict it".| widgetType | Use when the learner should… |
|---|---|
simulation | vary parameters and watch a system respond in real time |
diagram | explore structure, flow or hierarchy by expanding and following |
code | read, modify and run a short program that embodies the idea |
game | make repeated decisions under a rule set and see the score move |
visualization3d | inspect a spatial object or scene from angles a slide cannot show |
Every interactive scene must carry a widgetOutline populated for its type —
an interactive scene with an empty widget outline degrades to a generic page and
defeats the whole point.
simulation: concept, keyVariables (the actual sliders/inputs)diagram: diagramType, nodes (with label, and parentId for hierarchy)code: language, conceptgame: gameType, challenge, playerControlsvisualization3d: visualizationType, objects, interactionsTitles name what the learner does or discovers, not the topic heading.
For an interactive scene, keyPoints describe the interaction and what it
reveals — what the learner changes, what they observe, what conclusion the
observation forces. Not a bullet list of facts to be read out.

Deep Interactive Course Design fits situations like: designing a course on a topic with a mechanism or a variable to vary; planning a lesson around a process the learner can trace step by step; turning a slide-heavy outline into interactive scenes; choosing which widget type fits a concept.

With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add THU-MAIC/OpenMAIC --skill deep-interactive -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Deep Interactive Course Design is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: A course generator that accepts slide, interactive and quiz scenes with widget outlines.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Deep Interactive Course Design is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 681 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
