What it does

This skill sets up a strong-reasoning agent that a cheaper executor agent consults when it is stuck. The advisor lives for the whole mission, and each question arrives as a new message in the same session, so its accumulated understanding of the repository is the point. On its first turn it reads the architecture docs (README, AGENTS.md, docs folder), skims the module layout around the first question and builds a mental map of modules, data flow, conventions and test layout, and it does not repeat that exploration later.

The rules keep it an advisor. It never edits files or runs anything that changes state, so no writes, commits, pushes, installs or deletes. Answers target under 15 lines with exact file paths, open with the direct verdict, and flag a wrong track in the first sentence. Uncertainty is labeled as a hypothesis with a way to check it, and each answer ends cleanly with no background work. During a frozen-head review campaign it gathers sibling cases of one root cause and returns a single ledger.

When your agent uses it

  • Giving a cheaper executor agent a stronger agent to ask when it hits a dead end
  • Keeping repository knowledge in one long-lived read-only session
  • Getting short, file-specific diagnoses without letting the advisor change code

Example prompts

  • “Start as the advisor for this repo and be ready to answer the executor's questions.”
  • “The executor is stuck on a failing integration test. Tell it where the cause most likely is.”
  • “Review the open findings and return one ledger of cases that share the same root cause.”

Requirements

  • A session where an executor agent can send questions to the advisor

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 960b656. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

Context cost

Orchestrator Advisor loads about 568 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 49 tokens; SKILL.md has 308 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it

When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Without a licence we can't republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 308 words (~568 tokens).
