shopify-developerReference for Shopify work: Liquid templates, OS 2.0 themes, Admin and Storefront GraphQL APIs, apps, Functions and Hydrogen, on API version 2026-01.
This skill is a Shopify reference split into task-based files. A quick-reference table gives the API version (2026-01), the GraphQL Admin and Storefront endpoints, the Ajax cart paths and the CLI commands for installing, running theme and app development, and deploying.
A Choose Your Path section sends the agent to the file that matches the job: Liquid syntax, filters and objects; OS 2.0 theme architecture with sections, blocks and JSON templates; the Admin API (GraphQL first, REST as legacy, plus OAuth, webhooks and rate limiting); the Storefront and Ajax APIs; app development with Shopify CLI, extensions, Polaris Web Components and App Bridge; and Shopify Functions, which replace Scripts. Further files cover Hydrogen headless storefronts, debugging and performance. It applies to Shopify only.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 6df68d5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

Shopify Developer Reference loads about 1.9k tokens when it runs, and up to ~39k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 145 tokens; SKILL.md has 384 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 384 words (~1,872 tokens).

Run `npx skills add tech-leads-club/agent-skills --skill shopify-developer -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/skills-catalog/skills/(development)/shopify-developer in tech-leads-club/agent-skills) into .claude/skills/shopify-developer in your project. Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Shopify Developer Reference needs the command-line tools its instructions call (shopify and npm). Our summary lists: Shopify CLI for theme and app commands.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: shopify.dev. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Shopify Developer Reference has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.9k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 37k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
