What it does

Add React Admin Resource is an agent skill from talkincode/toughradius. Add a resource or page in the React Admin management backend (TR-F013). Use when a new Admin API needs a corresponding management UI in the frontend.

Its SKILL.md is about 430 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Frontend & Design. It works with React. The repository describes itself as: A powerful, open-source RADIUS server designed for ISPs, enterprise networks, and carriers. Supports standard RADIUS protocols, a full EAP / 802.1X authentication suite (EAP-TLS… The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

Example prompts

  • “/add-react-admin-resource”

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Resource file: define List/Edit/Create in web/src/resources/.tsx (mirror nodes.tsx).
  2. Register the resource: add " .../> in web/src/App.tsx; the name must align with the backend API path.
  3. Data mapping: confirm dataProvider.ts pagination / filter / sort params match the backend.
  4. Pages (if not standard CRUD): put them under web/src/pages/; do not create a separate management entry.
  5. i18n: if the project has i18n keys, add the corresponding strings.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 50907c9. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • npm

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Add React Admin Resource loads about 429 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 44 tokens; SKILL.md has 164 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~44
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~429

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Add a resource or page in the React Admin management backend (TR-F013). Use when a new Admin API needs a corresponding management UI in the frontend.

Skill: Add a Frontend Management Resource / Page

Feature ID: TR-F013 | Milestone: M2 and others

When to use

After adding an Admin API on the backend, when the React Admin backend needs to expose the corresponding resource or page.

Pre-research

text
view web/src/App.tsx # resource / route registration
file_search "web/src/resources/*.tsx" # resource references
view web/src/providers/dataProvider.ts # REST mapping
view web/src/resources/nodes.tsx # standard resource reference

Implementation steps

  1. Resource file: define List/Edit/Create in web/src/resources/<feature>.tsx (mirror nodes.tsx).
  2. Register the resource: add <Resource name="<api-path>" .../> in web/src/App.tsx; the name must align with the backend API path.
  3. Data mapping: confirm dataProvider.ts pagination / filter / sort params match the backend.
  4. Pages (if not standard CRUD): put them under web/src/pages/; do not create a separate management entry.
  5. i18n: if the project has i18n keys, add the corresponding strings.

Boundaries

  • Do not introduce a separate management entry; all pages hang under the unified Admin framework.
  • The frontend only exposes backend-supported, verifiable, safe actions (especially CoA); never assemble protocol packets in the frontend.

Acceptance

  • cd web && npm run build succeeds
  • List / filter / CRUD are connected to the backend
  • PR references TR-F013 and the milestone ID
