voice-callStarts and inspects phone calls through the Brigade voice-call plugin, using a CLI command or the voice_call tool, with Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo or a mock provider.
This skill covers the Brigade voice-call plugin. From the command line, a call is placed with the voicecall call command, giving a destination number and a message, and checked later with the status command and a call ID. For agent-initiated calls there is a voice_call tool whose actions are initiate_call, continue_call, speak_to_user, end_call and get_status.
The plugin must be enabled and is configured under the plugin entries section of the Brigade settings. Twilio needs an account SID, auth token and from number; Telnyx needs an API key, connection ID and from number; Plivo needs an auth ID, auth token and from number. A mock provider makes no network calls and is meant as a development fallback.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4c2a18f. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Brigade Voice Calls loads about 288 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 16 tokens; SKILL.md has 75 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from spinabot/brigade at commit 4c2a18f, republished under its MIT licence (© spinabot). 75 words, ~288 tokens.

spinabot/brigade
Shows HTML content such as games, dashboards, visualizations and demos on a connected Brigade node's canvas, using a local canvas host server and a node bridge.
spinabot/brigade
Creates and edits Word documents along four paths of rising capability, from a quick tool to the docx library, an OOXML round-trip and pandoc, then verifies the file.
spinabot/brigade
Writes HTML compositions with a GSAP timeline that the render_video tool turns into deterministic MP4 videos from data, text or layouts.
spinabot/brigade
Diagnoses why a Brigade companion app can't pair or connect, by first identifying the real node-to-gateway route and then fixing auth.
spinabot/brigade
Connects an OAuth 2.0 account such as Gmail with the built-in oauth_authorize tool: an authorization link, automatic code capture and sealed token storage.
spinabot/brigade

Starts and inspects phone calls through the Brigade voice-call plugin, using a CLI command or the voice_call tool, with Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo or a mock provider. This skill covers the Brigade voice-call plugin. From the command line, a call is placed with the voicecall call command, giving a destination number and a message, and checked later with the status command and a call ID.
Brigade Voice Calls fits situations like: placing a test phone call from an agent through Brigade; checking the status of a call that was already started; trying the call flow offline with the mock provider before using a real one.
Run `npx skills add spinabot/brigade --skill voice-call -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/voice-call in spinabot/brigade) into .claude/skills/voice-call in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add spinabot/brigade --skill voice-call -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/voice-call in spinabot/brigade) into .agents/skills/voice-call in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add spinabot/brigade --skill voice-call -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/voice-call, .gemini/skills/voice-call, .github/skills/voice-call and .opencode/skills/voice-call in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Brigade Voice Calls is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The Brigade voice-call plugin, enabled; Credentials for Twilio, Telnyx or Plivo and a from number, unless using the mock provider.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Brigade Voice Calls is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 288 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
