ppt-deckCreates, edits and reads PowerPoint decks: new decks with PptxGenJS, existing PPTX or POTX files through XML edits, and text extraction with markitdown.
The agent routes each task to one of three paths. Reading or analyzing a deck uses `python3 -m markitdown` on the file, editing an existing deck or template follows `references/editing.md`, and creating a deck from scratch follows `references/pptxgenjs.md`. To keep the path short, it reads only the reference that applies, writes one generation script, runs one generation phase and one QA phase, and then publishes. Extra references on pitfalls, design systems, backgrounds, slide types, assets and visual quality are read only when a failure or request calls for them.
New decks should feel like finished presentations rather than documents split across slides, with topic-specific visual direction and varied slide structures. When runtime settings are present they act as constraints: slide count, language, visual density and a style preset, one of auto, executive, product, academic, training, minimal or editorial, each mapped to a theme with its own palette in `design-system.md`. A `validate_pptx.py` script is included, and the work happens in SourceWeft's sandbox.

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 4c67bf9. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/ (TypeScript and Python, from the files we listed), which the agent can run.

PowerPoint Deck Generator loads about 3.8k tokens when it runs, and up to ~22k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 1,826 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 1,826 words (~3,780 tokens).
“Create native editable PPTX decks in SourceWeft's sandbox. Keep the default path short: route the task, read only the one reference that applies, write one generation script, run one generation phase, run one QA phase, then publish.”

PowerPoint Deck Generator fits situations like: building a slide deck from scratch as an editable PPTX file; editing an existing presentation or template; extracting the text of a PowerPoint file.
Run `npx skills add SourceWeft/SourceWeft --skill ppt-deck -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/builtin-skill-ppt-deck in SourceWeft/SourceWeft) into .claude/skills/ppt-deck in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add SourceWeft/SourceWeft --skill ppt-deck -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (packages/builtin-skill-ppt-deck in SourceWeft/SourceWeft) into .agents/skills/ppt-deck in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add SourceWeft/SourceWeft --skill ppt-deck -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ppt-deck, .gemini/skills/ppt-deck, .github/skills/ppt-deck and .opencode/skills/ppt-deck in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, PowerPoint Deck Generator needs TypeScript and Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3, node, soffice and pdftoppm). Our summary lists: PptxGenJS for creating decks; Python with markitdown for reading decks.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
PowerPoint Deck Generator has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 3.8k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 15k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 19k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
Skills that share tags, products or a category with PowerPoint Deck Generator: PowerPoint Decks (anthropics/skills, 180k stars), PPTX Generator (poco-ai/poco-claw, 1.4k stars), PPTX Skill (Chinese) (agentscope-ai/QwenPaw, 35k stars) and PPTX (rvdbreemen/OTGW-firmware, 207 stars).
