overviewArchitecture, repository layout, and file map for this template.
Overview is an agent skill from projectbluefin/finpilot. Architecture, repository layout, and file map for this template. Use when orienting to the repository, tracing how the image is assembled, or deciding which skill covers a task.
Its SKILL.md is about 740 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
The repository describes itself as: Build your own custom Bluefin. The licence is Apache-2.0.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8e0eb5d. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Overview loads about 740 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 47 tokens; SKILL.md has 345 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/overview/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This repository builds a bootc operating system image by assembling OCI layers rather than by modifying an existing image. Bluefin, Aurora, and Bluefin LTS are built the same way, so the desktop configuration here is the one they ship.
The Containerfile is the source of truth, and it is deliberately verbose. It
defines three things:
Context stage (ctx) — combines the local build/ and custom/
directories with files pulled from two OCI images:
ghcr.io/projectbluefin/common — the shared desktop configuration,
branding, and the Brew/Flatpak/ujust plumbingghcr.io/ublue-os/brew — the Homebrew integrationBase image — the FROM line. It defaults to Fedora Silverblue and is the
only place the base is chosen. just build reads the image name and tag from
it; the Fedora major is read from the base image itself during the build.
Phases — each build script runs in its own RUN block, in the order the
Containerfile names them. build/README.md lists
them.

Architecture, repository layout, and file map for this template. Overview is an agent skill from projectbluefin/finpilot. Architecture, repository layout, and file map for this template.
Overview fits situations like: orienting to the repository; tracing how the image is assembled; deciding which skill covers a task.
Run `npx skills add projectbluefin/finpilot --skill overview -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/overview in projectbluefin/finpilot) into .claude/skills/overview in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add projectbluefin/finpilot --skill overview -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/overview in projectbluefin/finpilot) into .agents/skills/overview in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add projectbluefin/finpilot --skill overview -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/overview, .gemini/skills/overview, .github/skills/overview and .opencode/skills/overview in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Overview needs the command-line tools its instructions call (just).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Overview is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 740 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
