markdown-no-artificial-line-wrapsKeeps Markdown prose on one line per paragraph instead of wrapping at a fixed column, so renderers can reflow it and diffs stay clean.
Each prose paragraph is kept as a single line, joining any wrapped lines together so the viewer handles wrapping instead of the source file. List items, headings, fenced code blocks, tables, block quotes and intentional line breaks such as poetry keep their normal Markdown formatting and are left untouched.
A link is also kept from landing alone on its own continuation line, since GitHub and most Markdown renderers already wrap to the viewport and a fixed-width break in the source mainly helps a raw terminal while making git diffs and merge conflicts noisier. The rule does not reformat existing Markdown to hard-wrap it unless asked, and does not extend to non-Markdown files such as comment blocks in code.

Markdown Without Hard Wraps loads about 472 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 120 tokens; SKILL.md has 207 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

When hard newlines are correct
Links and emphasis — Prefer not splitting a paragraph so that a [text](url) link is alone on a continuation line in a way that obscures reading; the whole paragraph can be one line.
Rationale — GitHub and most Markdown renderers wrap to the viewport. Fixed-width breaks in source only help in raw terminals; they harm git diff and merge conflict resolution.

Markdown Without Hard Wraps fits situations like: writing or editing a README, ADR or PR body in Markdown; keeping Markdown diffs clean across edits; deciding whether to hard-wrap a prose paragraph at a fixed column.
Run `npx skills add prisma/orm --skill markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills-contrib/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps in prisma/orm) into .claude/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add prisma/orm --skill markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills-contrib/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps in prisma/orm) into .agents/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add prisma/orm --skill markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps, .gemini/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps, .github/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps and .opencode/skills/markdown-no-artificial-line-wraps in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Markdown Without Hard Wraps needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Markdown Without Hard Wraps is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 472 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
