Material Design 3 UI/UX Guide
skydashnet/material-design-3-ui-skill
Guides designing, reviewing or implementing interfaces that follow Google's Material Design 3 system: semantic tokens, component states, adaptive layout and accessibility.
Applies a chosen visual direction, an archetype or one of 138 named design systems, by remapping design tokens, then checks contrast before it finishes.

apply-aestheticApplies a chosen visual direction, an archetype or one of 138 named design systems, by remapping design tokens, then checks contrast before it finishes.
The skill starts with a mandatory brief inference: you name the industry, audience and tone, the one mood adjective the result must earn, how much motion to use and the sequence of layout families, before any token changes. It then picks a direction from the aesthetic systems file, either an archetype such as editorial minimal, brutalist or dark-tech, or a named system from the library, which scripts/design_systems.py can list, search and show.
Following the library contract, it points the semantic tokens at the chosen system's color roles and maps type, spacing, radius, shadow and motion onto the kit's token JSON files. Every mapped color pair is checked for contrast, and a brand color that fails is adjusted, because accessibility outranks taste. The output is the updated semantic tokens with notes on type, space and motion, which the design-code skill then renders. It needs the surrounding ux-ui-agent-skills kit; if only the skill folders were installed, it says so and stops.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 14f8d44. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Apply Aesthetic loads about 597 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 222 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Apply Aesthetic needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npx and python3). Our summary lists: The full ux-ui-agent-skills kit (tokens, taste and design-systems folders); Python 3 for the design system and contrast scripts.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

About 597 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
