sn-image-doctorChecks that the SenseNova-Skills environment is ready by validating the sn-image-base install, Python dependencies and API variables, saving missing settings to .env.
This is an infrastructure skill, labeled tier 0, meant to run before the other SenseNova skills. `scripts/check_environment.py` verifies that `sn-image-base` is present, that its Python dependencies are installed and that the required environment variables are set, printing the result of each numbered step and a separate error report when a check fails.
When a required variable is missing, the script prompts you for it, saves it to `.env`, reloads the environment and suggests restarting the agent if the reload fails. Variables fall back from capability-specific to shared to global, so text calls try `SN_TEXT_API_KEY`, then `SN_CHAT_API_KEY`, then `SN_API_KEY`. Troubleshooting notes cover a missing `sn-image-base` folder, installing its `requirements.txt` and API connectivity.
4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 7838651. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
pythonpipcurlFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
token.sensenova.cnFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
SN_API_KEYSN_CHAT_API_KEYSN_IMAGE_GEN_API_KEYSN_TEXT_API_KEYSN_VISION_API_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
SenseNova Environment Doctor loads about 1.4k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 87 tokens; SKILL.md has 249 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

Please fix the errors above before using SenseNova-Skills.Problem: sn-image-base directory not found
Solution:
# Ensure you're in the project root
cd /path/to/SenseNova-Skills
# Verify the directory exists
ls -la skills/sn-image-baseProblem: Required Python packages not installed
Solution:
# Install dependencies
pip install -r skills/sn-image-base/requirements.txt

For example, text calls use SN_TEXT_API_KEY -> SN_CHAT_API_KEY -> SN_API_KEY; vision calls use SN_VISION_API_KEY -> SN_CHAT_API_KEY -> SN_API_KEY; image generation uses SN_IMAGE_GEN_API_KEY -> SN_API_KEY.

Run `npx skills add OpenSenseNova/SenseNova-Skills --skill sn-image-doctor -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/sn-image-doctor in OpenSenseNova/SenseNova-Skills) into .claude/skills/sn-image-doctor in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add OpenSenseNova/SenseNova-Skills --skill sn-image-doctor -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/sn-image-doctor in OpenSenseNova/SenseNova-Skills) into .agents/skills/sn-image-doctor in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add OpenSenseNova/SenseNova-Skills --skill sn-image-doctor -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/sn-image-doctor, .gemini/skills/sn-image-doctor, .github/skills/sn-image-doctor and .opencode/skills/sn-image-doctor in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, SenseNova Environment Doctor needs Python for the scripts in its folder, the command-line tools its instructions call (python, pip and curl) and credentials named SN_API_KEY, SN_CHAT_API_KEY, SN_IMAGE_GEN_API_KEY and SN_TEXT_API_KEY. Our summary lists: Python; The SenseNova-Skills project with `sn-image-base`; A SenseNova API key and base URL.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: token.sensenova.cn; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (mentions a .env file), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
SenseNova Environment Doctor is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.4k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
