What it does

Content is an agent skill from notque/vexjoy-agent. Content operations: editorial calendar, marketing, publishing, social media management.

Its SKILL.md is about 2.9k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 68 other files, including scripts and reference files (for example `references/at-protocol-api.md`, `references/at-protocol-preferred-patterns.md` and `references/batch-edit-examples.md`).

It sits in Writing & Content, covering Content strategy. It works with Bluesky and Reddit. The repository describes itself as: VexJoy AI Agent with Jev Intelligent Routing - /do routes plain-English requests to the right specialist agent and gates the work with reviews, tests, and a learning loop. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Tasks that involve Content strategy

Example prompts

  • “/content”

Requirements

  • Python 3
  • A credential in X_API_KEY
  • A credential in X_API_SECRET
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Grep, Glob, WebFetch

Workflow steps

3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. READ -- Load and parse content-calendar.md. Validate all sections exist. Do not trust memory; always re-read the actual file.
  2. EXECUTE -- Perform the requested operation
  3. WRITE -- Persist changes, re-read file to verify.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 5218674. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Write
    • Edit
    • Bash
    • Grep
    • Glob
    • WebFetch

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

Ships 1 file in scripts/, which the agent can run.

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • python3

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • public.api.bsky.app

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • X_BEARER_TOKEN
    • X_API_KEY
    • X_API_SECRET
    • X_ACCESS_TOKEN
    • X_ACCESS_SECRET

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Content loads about 2.9k tokens when it runs, and up to ~116k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 24 tokens; SKILL.md has 987 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~24
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~2.9k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~116k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check: notes

The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.

  • NotePre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: Bash)SKILL.md
allowed-tools: Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Grep, Glob, WebFetch

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.

Calendar Mode

Manage editorial content through 6 pipeline stages: Ideas, Outlined, Drafted, Editing, Ready, Published. All state lives in a single content-calendar.md file.

Workflow
  1. READ -- Load and parse content-calendar.md. Validate all sections exist. Do not trust memory; always re-read the actual file.
  2. EXECUTE -- Perform the requested operation:
    • View: count per stage, upcoming scheduled (14 days), in-progress, recent publications (30 days). Flag stuck content (14+ days in one stage).
    • Add idea: check for duplicate titles (case-insensitive), append to Ideas.
    • Move: forward only through defined sequence (Ideas -> Outlined -> Drafted -> Editing -> Ready -> Published). Record YYYY-MM-DD timestamp at each transition.
    • Schedule: set date on Ready items. Date must be today or future.
    • Archive: move Published entries older than current month to Historical sections.
  3. WRITE -- Persist changes, re-read file to verify.

Social-X Mode

OAuth-authenticated X/Twitter posting via x-api-poster.py. 4-phase pipeline with confirmation gate.

Workflow
  1. VALIDATE -- Check credentials: python3 $HOME/.claude/scripts/x-api-poster.py post --dry-run --text "ping". Requires X_API_KEY, X_API_SECRET, X_ACCESS_TOKEN, X_ACCESS_SECRET, X_BEARER_TOKEN. Read-only ops need only X_BEARER_TOKEN.
  2. CONFIRM -- Show user the exact text. For threads: python3 $HOME/.claude/scripts/x-api-poster.py thread --dry-run --texts "part 1" "part 2". Enforce 280-char limit per tweet. Wait for explicit user confirmation.
  3. POST -- Execute with --confirmed flag: python3 $HOME/.claude/scripts/x-api-poster.py post --confirmed --text "text". For media: --media /path/to/image.png.
  4. VERIFY -- Report tweet URL and rate limit status.

Social-Bluesky Mode

Read public Bluesky feeds via AT Protocol. No auth required.

Commands
bash
# Fetch recent posts
python3 ~/.claude/scripts/bluesky_reader.py feed --handle HANDLE --limit 20

# Search posts
python3 ~/.claude/scripts/bluesky_reader.py search --handle HANDLE --query "terms"

# JSON output for pipelines
python3 ~/.claude/scripts/bluesky_reader.py feed --handle HANDLE --json

Endpoint: https://public.api.bsky.app/xrpc/app.bsky.feed.getAuthorFeed. Limit: 1-100 posts. Search is local keyword filter (all words must appear, case-insensitive).

Social-Reddit Mode

Reddit moderation via PRAW. Three modes:

ModeCommandBehavior
Interactiveinvoke directlyFetch, classify, present, confirm actions
Auto/loop 10m /reddit-moderate --autoAuto-action high-confidence, flag rest
Dry-run--dry-runShow recommendations without acting
Workflow
  1. FETCH -- python3 scripts/reddit-moderate/reddit-mod.py queue --json --limit 25 | python3 scripts/reddit-moderate/reddit-mod.py classify. Loads subreddit context from reddit-data/{subreddit}/.
  2. CLASSIFY -- Fill classification, confidence, and reasoning for each item using the assembled prompt.
  3. PRESENT -- Group by confidence tier (high/medium/low). Show: title, author, report reason, classification, action, reasoning.
  4. ACT -- Execute confirmed actions: python3 scripts/reddit-moderate/reddit-mod.py action --item-id ID --action approve|remove|spam.

Questions about Content

What does Content do?

Content operations: editorial calendar, marketing, publishing, social media management. Content is an agent skill from notque/vexjoy-agent. Content operations: editorial calendar, marketing, publishing, social media management.

When should I use Content?

Content fits situations like: tasks that involve Content strategy.

How do I install Content in Claude Code?

Run `npx skills add notque/vexjoy-agent --skill content -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/content/content in notque/vexjoy-agent) into .claude/skills/content in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

How do I install Content in Codex?

Run `npx skills add notque/vexjoy-agent --skill content -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/content/content in notque/vexjoy-agent) into .agents/skills/content in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.

Can I use Content in Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot?

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add notque/vexjoy-agent --skill content -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/content, .gemini/skills/content, .github/skills/content and .opencode/skills/content in your project.

What does Content need to run?

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Content needs the command-line tools its instructions call (python3) and credentials named X_BEARER_TOKEN, X_API_KEY, X_API_SECRET and X_ACCESS_TOKEN. Our summary lists: Python 3; A credential in X_API_KEY; A credential in X_API_SECRET. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Grep, Glob, WebFetch.

Does Content access the network?

SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: public.api.bsky.app; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.

Is Content safe to install?

Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.

What licence does Content use?

Content is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.

How many tokens does Content use?

About 2.9k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 12k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 113k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.

What are the alternatives to Content?

Skills that share tags, products or a category with Content: Content Opportunity Brief (unifapi-agent/agents, 586 stars), Content Brief Factory (gooseworks-ai/goose-skills, 1.2k stars), Upload Post (davepoon/buildwithclaude, 3.6k stars) and Blog Strategy (AgriciDaniel/claude-blog, 2.3k stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.

Who maintains Content?

notque (a GitHub user) maintains it in notque/vexjoy-agent, which has 435 GitHub stars. The repository holds 61 skills in this directory. The repository was last updated on October 3, 2026.
