What it does

Close Issue is an agent skill from MillenniumDawn/Millennium-Dawn. Close a GitHub issue with a brief comment summarizing the applied fix (inferred from the branch diff if not supplied). Use only on explicit request, e.g. "/close-issue 123".

Its SKILL.md is about 340 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It works with GitHub. The repository describes itself as: Millennium Dawn and it's codebase. The licence is CC-BY-SA-4.0.

Example prompts

  • “/close-issue 123”
  • “/close-issue”

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Parse arguments
  2. Infer the fix summary (skip if a description was provided)
  3. Post the comment and close the issue
  4. Report back

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c0b396c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • gh
    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use gh and git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Close Issue loads about 337 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 46 tokens; SKILL.md has 147 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~46
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~337

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Supported arguments: an issue number (required), and optionally a short description of the fix. If no description is provided, infer the fix from the current branch's diff against main.

Requested arguments: $ARGUMENTS

Steps:

  1. Parse arguments

Extract the issue number from $ARGUMENTS. If a description is also provided, use it as the comment body. Otherwise, proceed to step 2 to infer one.

  2. Infer the fix summary (skip if a description was provided)

Fetch the issue title for context, then check the current branch diff:

gh issue view <number> --json title, body
    git log origin/main..HEAD --oneline
    git diff origin/main...HEAD --stat

Write a 1-3 sentence comment covering the root cause and what was changed to fix it. Keep it concise and factual. Do not repeat the issue title back.

  3. Post the comment and close the issue

gh issue close <number> --comment "<summary>"
  4. Report back

Output the issue URL and confirm it was closed.
