What it does

UI Audit is an agent skill from MigoXLab/webqa-agent. UI audit for hierarchy, accessibility, and UX.

Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 22 other files, including reference files (for example `references/00-core-framework.md`, `references/01-anchors.md` and `references/02-information-scaffold.md`).

It sits in Frontend & Design, covering Accessibility. The repository describes itself as: Autonomous web browser agent that audits performance, functionality & UX for engineers and vibe-coding creators. 网站自主评估测试 Agent,支持 GUI/CLI 一键完成性能、功能使用与交互体验的测试评估. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Tasks that involve Accessibility

Example prompts

  • “/ui-audit”

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Take a screenshot of the current page state.
  2. Take an accessibility snapshot to get the semantic structure.
  3. Load the core framework reference for the decisioning model
  4. Evaluate required sections (always include)
  5. Evaluate contextual sections (include when relevant)
  6. Generate the audit report in the JSON format below.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit aa156d4. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are json).

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

UI Audit loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs, and up to ~46k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 14 tokens; SKILL.md has 424 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~14
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.3k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~46k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

UI Audit Skill

Evaluate interfaces against proven UX principles.

When to Use

  • Auditing a web page for UI/UX quality
  • Evaluating accessibility compliance
  • Reviewing visual hierarchy and design consistency
  • Assessing navigation and information architecture

Core Audit Process

  1. Take a screenshot of the current page state.
  2. Take an accessibility snapshot to get the semantic structure.
  3. Load the core framework reference for the decisioning model: load_skill(skill_name="ui-audit", reference="00-core-framework")
  4. Evaluate required sections (always include):
    • Visual Hierarchy — load 23-patterns-visual-hierarchy if needed
    • Visual Style — load 12-checklist-visual-style if needed
    • Accessibility — load 27-patterns-accessibility if needed
  5. Evaluate contextual sections (include when relevant):
    • Navigation (multi-page) — load 31-patterns-navigation
    • Cognitive Load (complex flows) — load 22-patterns-cognitive-load
    • Error Handling (forms) — load 26-patterns-error-handling
    • Onboarding (new users) — load 29-patterns-onboarding
    • Feedback (interactive) — load 25-patterns-feedback
  6. Generate the audit report in the JSON format below.

Required Audit Sections (always include)

  • Visual Hierarchy — headings, CTAs, grouping, reading flow, type scale, color hierarchy, whitespace
  • Visual Style — spacing consistency, color usage, elevation/depth, typography, motion/animation
  • Accessibility — keyboard navigation, focus states, contrast ratios, screen reader support, touch targets

Contextual Sections (include when relevant)

  • Navigation — wayfinding, breadcrumbs, menu structure, information architecture
  • Usability — discoverability, feedback, error handling, cognitive load
  • Onboarding — first-run, tutorials, progressive disclosure
  • Social Proof — testimonials, trust signals, social integration
  • Forms — labels, validation, error messages, field types
