mem0-rememberSaves a fact, decision or preference the user states into mem0 as written, labeled with a memory type such as decision, convention or user_preference.
Invoked as /mem0-remember followed by some text, this skill stores that text directly in mem0, and asks what to remember if none was given. It sorts the content into a type from wording cues: decision, anti_pattern, user_preference, convention, task_learning or environmental, with task_learning as the fallback for anything else.
It then calls add_memory with the user and project ids, the branch and a metadata block that marks the source as the remember command, with inference switched off because you stated the fact yourself. Writes are asynchronous, so it checks get_event_status once and prints the memory ID, or the event ID if processing is still pending. Output is kept to plain text without markdown, since the OpenCode terminal interface shows it verbatim.
4 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit b7ad69a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Mem0 Remember Command loads about 560 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 64 tokens; SKILL.md has 229 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from mem0ai/mem0 at commit b7ad69a, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© mem0ai). 229 words, ~560 tokens.
.claude/skills/mem0-remember/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Store a fact or learning directly into mem0.
The user provides the content as an argument: /mem0-remember <text>
If no text was provided, ask: "What should I remember?"
Based on the content, pick the best metadata.type:
| Content signal | Type |
|---|---|
| "we decided...", "always use...", "never..." | decision |
| "X doesn't work because...", "don't try..." | anti_pattern |
| "I prefer...", "use X instead of Y" | user_preference |
| "the convention is...", "we always..." | convention |
| "learned that...", "figured out..." | task_learning |
| setup, env, tooling, config | environmental |
| anything else | task_learning |
Call add_memory with:
text="<the user's text>"user_id=<active_user_id>app_id=<active_project_id>metadata={"type": "<classified_type>", "branch": "<active_branch>", "confidence": 1.0, "source": "remember_command"}infer=Falseinfer=False because the user stated the fact explicitly — no extraction needed.
confidence=1.0 because the user explicitly asked to store this.
The add_memory response returns event_id (not memory_id) because writes are async.
Call get_event_status(event_id=<event_id>) once.
SUCCEEDED: print the memory ID from the result.PENDING or processing: print with the event ID as fallback.Remembered as <type>: "<content, first 80 chars>"
Memory ID: <id from event status>Append ... only if content was truncated (longer than 80 chars).
IMPORTANT: Do NOT use markdown in your output. OpenCode TUI renders text verbatim — markdown like bold, ## headers, and | table | syntax appears as raw characters. Use plain text with indentation for structure. Use dashes for lists. Use spaces to align columns instead of markdown tables.

Mem0 Remember Command fits situations like: saying remember this about a project convention; recording a decision so later sessions know about it; saving a preference such as a favored library or tool; noting an approach that failed so it is not tried again.
Run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill mem0-remember -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/opencode-plugin/opencode-skills/mem0-remember in mem0ai/mem0) into .claude/skills/mem0-remember in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill mem0-remember -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/opencode-plugin/opencode-skills/mem0-remember in mem0ai/mem0) into .agents/skills/mem0-remember in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill mem0-remember -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/mem0-remember, .gemini/skills/mem0-remember, .github/skills/mem0-remember and .opencode/skills/mem0-remember in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Mem0 Remember Command is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The mem0 plugin for OpenCode, with its add_memory and get_event_status tools.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Mem0 Remember Command is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 560 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.2k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
