forgetDeletes the Mem0 memories stored for this repository and user, after telling the user exactly what will be removed and getting their confirmation.
Deletion of remote memories is permanent, so the agent first explains what will go: the user's own memories for this repository only. The repository's project memory is shared by everyone who works in it and stays unless the user explicitly asks to delete that too. Once the user confirms, the agent runs the plugin's memory_cli.py with the forget command, the --remote flag and --yes, and then reports what the command output says was deleted.
If the user also wants the shared project memory removed, the agent adds --include-project-memory and says this removes it for every teammate. If only local data should be cleared, such as the evidence log and the pending queue, the same command runs without --remote. The agent never passes --yes before the user has confirmed in the current conversation.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c93420c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Mem0 Forget loads about 263 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 35 tokens; SKILL.md has 116 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from mem0ai/mem0 at commit c93420c, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© mem0ai). 116 words, ~263 tokens.
.claude/skills/forget/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This permanently deletes remote memories. Before running anything, tell the user exactly what will be deleted: their own memories for this repository only. The repository's project memory is shared by everyone who works in it, so it stays unless the user explicitly asks to delete that too.
After the user confirms, run:
python3 "${KIMI_PLUGIN_ROOT}/core/memory_cli.py" --harness "kimi" forget --remote --yesIf the user also asked to delete the repository's shared project memory, add
--include-project-memory and say that this removes it for every teammate.
Report what the command output says was deleted. If the user only wants local
data cleared (evidence log, pending queue), run the same command without
--remote. Never pass --yes before the user has confirmed in this
conversation.

Run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill forget -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/kimi-plugin/skills/forget in mem0ai/mem0) into .claude/skills/forget in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill forget -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/kimi-plugin/skills/forget in mem0ai/mem0) into .agents/skills/forget in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add mem0ai/mem0 --skill forget -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/forget, .gemini/skills/forget, .github/skills/forget and .opencode/skills/forget in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Mem0 Forget needs the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: The Mem0 plugin for Kimi and Python 3.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Mem0 Forget is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 263 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
