What it does

Financial Modeling is an agent skill from magnus919/hermes-profiles. CFO methodology for unit economics, financial modeling, pricing strategy, fundraising, budget frameworks, and SaaS metrics. Covers CAC/LTV/payback analysis, revenue projections, cost structures, runway analysis, scenario planning, value-based pricing, cap tables, term sheets, zero-based budgeting, rolling forecasts, ARR/MRR, churn, NDR, Rule of 40, and Magic Number.

Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 6 other files, including reference files (for example `references/financial-modeling.md`, `references/fundraising.md` and `references/pricing-strategy.md`).

It sits in Business, Finance & HR, covering Financial modeling, Fundraising and pitch decks and Budgeting and forecasting. The repository describes itself as: Curated Hermes Agent profiles for specialist swarms — opinionated, Hermes-optimized, artifact-pyramid native. The licence is MIT.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 867a555. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Financial Modeling loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs, and up to ~10k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 97 tokens; SKILL.md has 467 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~97
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.3k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~10k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Design Principles

  1. Models are tools for thinking, not predictions. A financial model's value is in forcing explicit assumptions and exposing their implications. The output is never "right" — it's internally consistent with stated assumptions.
  2. Unit economics come before growth. If you don't know whether each customer is profitable, scaling unprofitable growth will destroy the company. Understand unit economics before raising growth capital.
  3. Pricing is a product feature. It signals value, segments the market, and drives adoption patterns. Treat pricing decisions with the same rigor as product decisions.
  4. The cap table is a governance document. Every financing round reshapes incentives. Understand who controls what, and how future rounds will dilute existing holders.
  5. SaaS metrics are management by proxy. A Rule of 40 score is a summary, not a strategy. The underlying drivers (retention, efficiency, growth) are what matter. Lead with levers, not scores.
  6. Scenarios, not single points. Every forecast should have a base, upside, and downside case. A single-number forecast implies a level of certainty that never exists.
  • executive-methodology — shared decision frameworks and governance
  • strategy-frameworks — CEO-side strategic planning and capital allocation
  • operational-design — COO-side operational metrics and process design
  • artifact-pyramids — output contract specification
