version-releaseGuides the release PR flow, the CI rules that tag a release and the writing of GitHub Release notes for a repo that develops on a canary branch.
Acting as a router for release work in the LobeHub repository, the skill starts from the branch model: day-to-day development happens on canary, and a release means merging canary into main. Release PRs, whether titled with a release prefix or opened from release/* or hotfix/* branches, get a package.json version bump from a workflow while they are open. After the merge, auto-tag-release.yml tags the merge commit and creates the GitHub Release.
Two release types are used in practice. A minor release comes roughly every four weeks with the version set by hand in the PR title, and a patch release comes weekly or as needed, with CI adding one to the patch number. The detailed steps sit in reference files for minor releases, patch scenarios and release-note style, with changelog examples for a database migration, a hotfix and a weekly release. Website changelog pages are out of scope, and the repository's DESIGN.md must be loaded for voice before every run.
3 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 1863542. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
LobeHub Version Release loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~8k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 540 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 540 words (~1,217 tokens).

Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill version-release -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/version-release in lobehub/lobehub) into .claude/skills/version-release in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill version-release -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/version-release in lobehub/lobehub) into .agents/skills/version-release in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add lobehub/lobehub --skill version-release -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/version-release, .gemini/skills/version-release, .github/skills/version-release and .opencode/skills/version-release in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, LobeHub Version Release needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: Access to the LobeHub repository and its release workflows.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
LobeHub Version Release has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 6.8k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
