What it does

Ops is an agent skill from Lifecycle-Innovations-Limited/claude-ops. This skill should be used when the user asks to "ops command center", "/ops:ops", or "run the business". Single discovery router for all business operations — communications, projects, infrastructure, revenue, marketing, releases, fleet management, automation, or any OPS capability. Loads and invokes only the relevant specialist instructions on demand.

Its SKILL.md is about 480 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/capabilities.json`).

It sits in Business, Finance & HR, covering Operations and SOPs. The repository describes itself as: Business operating system for Claude Code — 57 skills, 21 agents, smart daemon. Unified inbox (WhatsApp/Email/Slack/Telegram), autonomous PR merge, full-AWS monitoring, revenue… The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Run the business

Example prompts

  • “ops command center”
  • “/ops:ops”
  • “run the business”
  • “/ops”

Workflow steps

5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. If $ARGUMENTS is empty, invoke the ops:ops-dash skill.
  2. Otherwise, read the capability index.
  3. Match the user's complete request—not merely one keyword—to exactly one specialist skill.
  4. Invoke that skill through the Skill tool using its exact namespaced name
  5. If two specialists genuinely fit, choose the narrower one. Ask only when the choice

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ee9c784. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Skill

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Ops loads about 482 tokens when it runs, and up to ~9.4k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 90 tokens; SKILL.md has 200 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~90
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~482
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~9.4k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

OPS — Lazy Capability Router

This is the single broad discovery entry for the OPS plugin. Specialist skill and agent bodies are intentionally absent from startup context.

Route

  1. If $ARGUMENTS is empty, invoke the ops:ops-dash skill.
  2. Otherwise, read the capability index.
  3. Match the user's complete request—not merely one keyword—to exactly one specialist skill.
  4. Invoke that skill through the Skill tool using its exact namespaced name: ops:<skill-name>. Forward the user's original arguments and intent unchanged.
  5. If two specialists genuinely fit, choose the narrower one. Ask only when the choice would materially change an external action.

Load ops-rules before acting. Public repo (no personal data). Outbound: one draft → one approval → one send. If AskUserQuestion / Workflow are missing, follow Rule 10 in ops-rules (Hermes: numbered options / two-turn Telegram card; delegate_task).

Do not reproduce or summarize a specialist workflow from the index. Invoke the specialist so Claude Code loads its full body, allowed tools, effort, hooks, and turn budget on demand. Never invoke ops:ops from this router; that would recurse.

The capability index is routing metadata, not authority to perform an action. All approval, secrets, outbound-message, destructive-operation, and worktree gates remain owned by the selected specialist and the global hooks.

Can I use Ops in Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot?

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add Lifecycle-Innovations-Limited/claude-ops --skill ops -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ops, .gemini/skills/ops, .github/skills/ops and .opencode/skills/ops in your project.

What does Ops need to run?

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Ops is instructions for the agent only. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Skill.

Does Ops access the network?

SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.

Is Ops safe to install?
