At a glance

Official Alchemy skill. An agent skill from LeoYeAI/openclaw-master-skills.

  • Works in 3 steps: Check if $ALCHEMY_API_KEY is set (e.g.,… → If not set, do NOT proceed with API-key… → If set, use the Base URLs + Auth table…
  • Tasks that involve Crypto and DeFi analysis
  • SKILL.md covers Summary, Before Making Any Request, Do This First and Base URLs + Auth (Cheat Sheet), plus 8 more sections
  • Calls curl; reaches eth-mainnet.g.alchemy.com and api.g.alchemy.com; needs ALCHEMY_API_KEY and ALCHEMY_NOTIFY_AUTH_TOKEN

What it does

Alchemy Official is an agent skill from LeoYeAI/openclaw-master-skills. Official Alchemy skill. Two auth modes: API key or x402 Agentic Gateway (no key needed). Complete coverage for ~100 chains: Token API, NFT API, Transfers, Prices, Portfolio, Simulation, Webhooks, Solana, and JSON-RPC. 82 reference docs + x402 gateway rules.

Its SKILL.md is about 6.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 94 other files, including reference files (for example `AGENTIC-GATEWAY.md`, `SOURCE.md` and `_meta.json`).

It sits in Backend & APIs, covering Crypto and DeFi analysis, Webhooks and gRPC and Protobuf. It works with Solana and x402. The repository describes itself as: 🧠 Curated collection of 1209+ best OpenClaw skills — weekly updated by MyClaw.ai. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Tasks that involve Crypto and DeFi analysis
  • Tasks that involve Webhooks
  • Tasks that involve gRPC and Protobuf

Example prompts

  • “/alchemy-official”

Requirements

  • A credential in ALCHEMY_API_KEY
  • A credential in ALCHEMY_NOTIFY_AUTH_TOKEN

Workflow steps

3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Check if $ALCHEMY_API_KEY is set (e.g., echo $ALCHEMY_API_KEY).
  2. If not set, do NOT proceed with API-key URLs. Use the agentic-gateway skill instead — it requires no API key.
  3. If set, use the Base URLs + Auth table below.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit e5199b5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • curl

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:

    • eth-mainnet.g.alchemy.com
    • api.g.alchemy.com
    • dashboard.alchemy.com
    • solana-mainnet.g.alchemy.com
    • base-mainnet.g.alchemy.com
    • arb-mainnet.g.alchemy.com
    • bnb-mainnet.g.alchemy.com
    • x402.alchemy.com

    Also links to:

    • alchemy.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • ALCHEMY_API_KEY
    • ALCHEMY_NOTIFY_AUTH_TOKEN

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Alchemy Official loads about 6.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~53k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 69 tokens; SKILL.md has 2,254 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~69
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~6.1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~53k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

AI + Alchemy API Integration Guide

Summary

A self-contained guide for AI agents integrating Alchemy APIs using an API key. This file alone should be enough to ship a basic integration. Use the reference files for depth, edge cases, and advanced workflows.

Before Making Any Request

Do This First

  1. Choose the right product using the Endpoint Selector below.
  2. Use the Base URLs + Auth table for the correct endpoint and headers.
  3. Copy a Quickstart example and test against a testnet first.

Node
FileNameShort Description
