vibe-agentsWrites project agent instructions and tool setup from decided requirements and the existing repo, keeping only stable, non-obvious guidance in always-loaded files.
The agent works from agreed requirements, technical decisions and the existing repository, and writes only guidance that is stable and not obvious from the code. For a small change it edits the affected AGENTS.md instructions directly, with no installer, fresh PRD or full interview, and progress tracking belongs in the project's memory or handoff file, not in the rules that load every session.
For first-time Vibe Workflow setup it uses the configured manifest paths and, when the vibeworkflow CLI is available, inspects the output of `npx vibeworkflow --dry-run --json` before initializing within what you have authorized. Existing files are preserved unless a reviewed replacement is intended. Task-specific procedures go into skills or references that load on demand, broad tool permissions are not switched on for convenience, and `npx vibeworkflow doctor` checks configuration only, not a working build. In a chat without filesystem access it produces separate files to save, based on docs/context-pack.md and the product decisions supplied.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit d26fb0d. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Vibe Agents Instructions loads about 421 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 28 tokens; SKILL.md has 203 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check noted patterns worth knowing about, such as sudo or a known installer.
allowed-tools: Read, Write, Edit, Glob, Grep, Bash, AskUserQuestionAutomated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/vibe-agents/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Use agreed requirements, technical decisions, and the existing repository to write only stable, non-obvious guidance. For a targeted AGENTS.md edit, update the affected instructions directly; do not require an installer, new PRD, or full interview. Keep progress in the project's memory/handoff file rather than the always-loaded rules.
For initial Vibe Workflow setup, use the configured manifest paths. If the
vibeworkflow CLI is available, inspect npx vibeworkflow --dry-run --json and
initialize within the user's authorization. Preserve existing files; replacement
flags are for intentional replacements whose affected files have been reviewed.
The CLI installs files directly, not into a new templates/ directory.
Fill relevant placeholders from known decisions. Keep task-specific procedures in skills or references and load them only when relevant. Distinguish local implementation from external sends, production changes, and new access. Do not enable broad tool permissions just to make setup convenient.
Use npx vibeworkflow doctor for CLI-generated setup when available; it checks
configuration, not a working build or user journey. In a chat without filesystem
access, use the repository's docs/context-pack.md and supplied product decisions
to produce separated files to save. State absent template/context limitations
instead of inventing them. Continue into implementation only when that is part
of the user's request.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Vibe Agents Instructions needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npx). Our summary lists: Node.js with npx, when using the vibeworkflow CLI. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Write, Edit, Glob, Grep, Bash, AskUserQuestion.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npx, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found notes only (pre-approves every shell command (allowed-tools: bash)), nothing it rates as a warning. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Vibe Agents Instructions is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 421 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
