dinobaseSets up Dinobase, a local DuckDB database that syncs data from 100+ business sources, then answers questions across them with SQL joins and previewed write-backs.
Dinobase syncs data from more than 100 SaaS APIs, databases and files into a local SQL database built on DuckDB, with no account required. The skill has the agent handle setup: check dinobase status, run dinobase init, list the available sources, connect each one with an API key after explaining where you find it, then sync and confirm with dinobase info that sources show non-zero table and row counts.
For questions it follows a fixed sequence: dinobase info to see sources and tables, dinobase describe on the relevant tables for columns, types and sample data, then SQL through dinobase query. That makes cross-source joins possible, such as customers with overdue invoices and open tickets, and updates or inserts can be written back to a source with a preview and confirmation. It is not meant for single-service real-time API calls, file system work or data not yet added.
6 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 2dd0636. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash and json).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Dinobase Business Data Queries loads about 1.5k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 39 tokens; SKILL.md has 468 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 468 words (~1,513 tokens).
“Dinobase is an agent-first database. It syncs data from 100+ SaaS APIs, databases, and files into a SQL database (DuckDB). You query across all sources with standard SQL.”

Dinobase Business Data Queries fits situations like: connecting Stripe, HubSpot or Salesforce data for the first time; answering questions that span CRM, billing and support tools; joining customer records across several SaaS sources with SQL; writing a confirmed update back to a connected source.
Run `npx skills add kappa90/dinobase --skill dinobase -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/openclaw in kappa90/dinobase) into .claude/skills/dinobase in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add kappa90/dinobase --skill dinobase -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (integrations/openclaw in kappa90/dinobase) into .agents/skills/dinobase in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add kappa90/dinobase --skill dinobase -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/dinobase, .gemini/skills/dinobase, .github/skills/dinobase and .opencode/skills/dinobase in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Dinobase Business Data Queries is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: The dinobase CLI; API keys for each source you connect.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Dinobase Business Data Queries has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.5k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 6.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
