What it does
Writing SKILL.md files is already standardized, the guide argues, but designing their content is the hard part, and the same skill performs very differently depending on how it is organized. It offers five patterns: Tool Wrapper, which loads a library's conventions on demand; Generator, which fills fixed templates; Reviewer, which scores against a checklist; Inversion, where the agent interviews you first; and Pipeline, which forces ordered steps with checkpoints.
A short set of questions picks the pattern: does the skill produce a fixed document or code structure, does it need information from the user first, must it run in ordered steps, or does it teach a library. Reviewer is the default. For each pattern the skill gives a structure and key points, such as keeping rules in references/, asking one question at a time and stating a gate like Do NOT start building until the answers are in.
Patterns can be combined, for example Pipeline with a Reviewer self-check or Generator with Inversion to collect variables first. Common mistakes covered are stuffing every rule into SKILL.md, choosing the wrong pattern and omitting gates. Example files exist for each pattern, plus a decision tree and evals. The SKILL.md is in Chinese and triggers when you start creating a new skill.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Context cost
Agent Skill Designer loads about 1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~6.1k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 16 tokens; SKILL.md has 148 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Pattern 5: Pipeline
适用场景：复杂任务，必须按顺序执行、中间有检查点
核心结构：

分析代码，提取所有公开的类、函数、常量
列出清单，询问："这是你想文档化的完整API吗？"
### Step 2 — 生成文档字符串（Gate: 必须用户确认后才能进入Step 3）
对每个缺少文档的函数：
- 加载 'references/docstring-style.md'
- 按规范生成文档字符串
- 展示给用户审批
### Step 3 — 组装文档
加载 'assets/api-doc-template.md'
将所有类、函数、文档字符串编译成完整API参考文档
### Step 4 — 质量检查
对照 'references/quality-checklist.md' 检查：
- 每个公开符号都有文档
- 每个参数都有类型和描述
- 每个函数至少一个使用示例
修复问题后再呈现最终文档关键点：
- 显式的Gate条件（如"必须用户确认后才能进入Step 3"）
- 每步失败则整个pipeline停止
- 可以在Pipeline里嵌套Reviewer（自检）
第三步：组合模式
这些模式不是互斥的，可以组合：
