What it does

Miro Observability is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Design and implement repository-side Miro instrumentation with safe metrics, rate-credit headers, semantic outcomes, and actionable alerts. Use when operating a Miro integration. Trigger with "monitor Miro integration".

Its SKILL.md is about 1.1k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/official-docs.md`). Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence

It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Observability. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Operating a Miro integration
  • With monitor Miro integration

Example prompts

  • “monitor Miro integration”
  • “/miro-observability”

Requirements

  • Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence
  • Pre-approved tools (allowed-tools): Read, Glob, Grep, WebFetch, Write, Edit

Workflow steps

6 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Define SLIs for availability, latency, errors, credits, queue age, token refresh, reconciliation lag, and semantic drift.
  2. Instrument adapters with bounded operation names, status classes, retry decisions, and redacted tenant hashes.
  3. Parse rate headers and emit remaining fraction, reset time, weighted demand, and throttled duration.
  4. Trace OAuth refresh and write/reconcile spans without recording credential or content fields.
  5. Create alerts tied to user impact and runbooks, including Miro status as corroborating context.
  6. Test dashboards and alerts with synthetic 401, 429, 5xx, drift, queue, and stale-checkpoint failures.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:

    • Read
    • Glob
    • Grep
    • WebFetch
    • Write
    • Edit

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • developers.miro.com
    • status.miro.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

  • Compatibility

Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence

From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

Context cost

Miro Observability loads about 1.1k tokens when it runs, and up to ~1.3k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 60 tokens; SKILL.md has 464 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~60
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~1.1k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~1.3k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Miro Integration Observability

Overview

Observe vendor transport and business correctness without turning board content, credentials, or high-cardinality identifiers into telemetry; use the evidence produced here to make the next decision explicit and reviewable.

Prerequisites

  • Service objectives and supported user journeys
  • Operation, retry, queue, reconciliation, and token lifecycle map
  • Approved telemetry fields, retention, access, and alert owners

Tool Discipline

Use Read, Glob, and Grep to inspect the repository, configuration names, adapters, tests, and evidence. Use WebFetch only for current official Miro documentation. Use Write or Edit after confirming the requested mode, target environment, tenant, board, and approval boundary. These declared tools do not call authenticated Miro APIs or deployment CLIs; implement client, configuration, and test changes, then return exact operator commands or an approval-gated handoff for live execution.

Current Contract

  • Rate responses expose limit, remaining, and reset credit headers suitable for gauges and forecasts.
  • HTTP success alone does not prove a mutation or synchronization outcome; semantic reconciliation needs separate signals.
  • Miro's public status is a dependency clue, not proof that a local authorization or tenant issue is vendor-wide.
  • Board names, item content, resource URLs, tokens, and raw user/team IDs should not be metric labels or logs.

Authentication

For REST work, use OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code with the narrowest Miro scopes. Bind each encrypted token record to its user, application, authorized team, and granted scopes. Never print access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, authorization codes, or board content.

Instructions

  1. Define SLIs for availability, latency, errors, credits, queue age, token refresh, reconciliation lag, and semantic drift.
  2. Instrument adapters with bounded operation names, status classes, retry decisions, and redacted tenant hashes.
  3. Parse rate headers and emit remaining fraction, reset time, weighted demand, and throttled duration.
  4. Trace OAuth refresh and write/reconcile spans without recording credential or content fields.
  5. Create alerts tied to user impact and runbooks, including Miro status as corroborating context.
  6. Test dashboards and alerts with synthetic 401, 429, 5xx, drift, queue, and stale-checkpoint failures.

Approval Boundaries

Do not add board/user content, raw identifiers, credentials, or unrestricted URLs to telemetry without privacy/security approval. Pause when the responsible owner or exact target is uncertain.

Output

Return SLI/SLO table, metric/log/trace fields, dashboards, alerts, redaction tests, runbook links, and coverage gaps. State what was not inspected or changed so the receipt cannot overclaim coverage.

Error Handling

ConditionResponse
Metric cardinality grows unboundedRemove raw IDs and aggregate by bounded dimensions.
Alert has no owner/actionDisable paging until a runbook and owner exist.
Rate headers are absentMark capacity unknown and use conservative request controls.
Status page is green during failuresContinue local auth, scope, network, and tenant diagnosis.

Examples

The example is a redacted operator receipt; identifiers are hashes or bounded labels, not board content or credentials.

What does Miro Observability need to run?

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Miro Observability is instructions for the agent only. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Glob, Grep, WebFetch, Write, Edit. Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code; live work requires an authorized Miro app and redacted evidence.

Does Miro Observability access the network?

SKILL.md names 2 domains. As links in the text: developers.miro.com and status.miro.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.

Is Miro Observability safe to install?
