clay-incident-runbookExecute Clay incident response procedures for enrichment failures, credit exhaustion, and data flow outages.
Clay Incident Runbook is an agent skill from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace. Execute Clay incident response procedures for enrichment failures, credit exhaustion, and data flow outages. Use when Clay enrichments stop working, webhook delivery fails, or CRM sync breaks in production. Trigger with phrases like "clay incident", "clay outage", "clay down", "clay emergency", "clay broken", "clay enrichment stopped".
Its SKILL.md is about 2k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/implementation-guide.md`). Compatibility notes: Designed for Claude Code
It sits in DevOps & Cloud, covering Incident response, Runbooks and postmortems and Webhooks. The repository describes itself as: Model-agnostic agent-skills platform with a harness-free canonical layer, verified adapters, and the ccpi package manager. Explore at tonsofskills.com. The licence is MIT.
5 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit cfae287. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
ReadGrepBash(curl:*)From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
curlFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
Hosts in commands or code, which the agent is likely to contact:
clay.comapi.clay.comAlso links to:
community.clay.comuniversity.clay.comFrom URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:
CLAY_API_KEYFrom names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Designed for Claude Code
From compatibility in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Clay Incident Runbook loads about 2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~2.7k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 90 tokens; SKILL.md has 399 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from jeremylongshore/tons-of-skills-marketplace at commit cfae287, republished under its MIT licence (© jeremylongshore). 399 words, ~1,970 tokens.

This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Rapid response procedures for Clay-related production incidents. Clay is a hosted SaaS platform, so incidents fall into two categories: (1) Clay-side issues (platform outage, provider degradation) and (2) your-side issues (webhook misconfiguration, credit exhaustion, handler failures).
| Level | Definition | Response Time | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | Complete data flow stopped | < 15 min | Credits exhausted, webhook URL expired, Clay outage |
| P2 | Degraded enrichment | < 1 hour | Low hit rates, slow processing, CRM sync errors |
| P3 | Minor impact | < 4 hours | Single provider down, intermittent webhook failures |
| P4 | No user impact | Next business day | Monitoring gaps, cost optimization needed |

Produce a time-stamped incident record with severity, scope, affected tables and destinations, containment steps, safe correlation IDs, communications, recovery evidence, root-cause status, and prevention owner. Do not include live secrets, raw lead/CRM records, or personal data in status updates or postmortems.
When a webhook reaches its submission limit, pause intake, protect pending work in the queue, notify the service owner with the approved template, and test the replacement path in staging before reopening production. If CRM data is wrong, suspend the sync, reconcile only authorized records, and retain the incident open until validation proves the corrected mapping.
For data handling and compliance, see clay-data-handling.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Clay Incident Runbook needs the command-line tools its instructions call (curl) and credentials named CLAY_API_KEY. Our summary lists: A credential in CLAY_API_KEY. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: Read, Grep, Bash(curl:*). Compatibility (from SKILL.md): Designed for Claude Code.
SKILL.md names 4 domains. In commands or code: clay.com and api.clay.com; the agent is likely to contact these when it follows the instructions. As links in the text: community.clay.com and university.clay.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Clay Incident Runbook is published under the MIT licence (declared in SKILL.md). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 7.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 696 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
