easyeda-to-kicadImports an LCSC part into a Tiny Engineer KiCad board as library files (symbol, footprint, 3D model) using easyeda2kicad and a bundled script.
Given an LCSC part number (the C-prefixed ID, not a manufacturer number) and a board folder under hardware/boards, the agent runs scripts/import_lcsc.py instead of redoing the download, move and library-table steps by hand. The script fails if the board folder has no .kicad_pro file, installs easyeda2kicad if needed, and runs it from the board directory with the full, project-relative and overwrite options.
It then moves the footprint and 3D folders into libraries/footprints and libraries/3d, rewrites 3D model paths to use the KiCad project-relative variable, and adds or updates the easyeda library nickname in the symbol and footprint library tables. Only library files are produced: the symbol is not placed on the schematic and nothing is merged into TinyEngineerModules.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit c718397. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Ships 1 file in scripts/ (Python), which the agent can run.

EasyEDA to KiCad Importer loads about 569 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 58 tokens; SKILL.md has 156 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 156 words (~569 tokens).
“Import an LCSC part into hardware/boards//. Library files only — do not place the symbol on the schematic. Do not merge into TinyEngineerModules.”

EasyEDA to KiCad Importer fits situations like: adding a JLCPCB or LCSC part to a KiCad board's libraries; filling a board's libraries folder with EasyEDA symbols, footprints and 3D models; importing a part by its LCSC ID such as C2040.
Run `npx skills add jamro/tiny-engineer --skill easyeda-to-kicad -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.cursor/skills/easyeda-to-kicad in jamro/tiny-engineer) into .claude/skills/easyeda-to-kicad in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add jamro/tiny-engineer --skill easyeda-to-kicad -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.cursor/skills/easyeda-to-kicad in jamro/tiny-engineer) into .agents/skills/easyeda-to-kicad in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add jamro/tiny-engineer --skill easyeda-to-kicad -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/easyeda-to-kicad, .gemini/skills/easyeda-to-kicad, .github/skills/easyeda-to-kicad and .opencode/skills/easyeda-to-kicad in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, EasyEDA to KiCad Importer needs Python for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (python3). Our summary lists: Python 3; easyeda2kicad, which the script installs if missing; A KiCad board folder containing a .kicad_pro file.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
EasyEDA to KiCad Importer has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 569 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.3k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
