enso-cdpDrive the EnsoCode Electron renderer via Chrome DevTools Protocol on port 9222.
Enso Cdp is an agent skill from J3n5en/EnsoCode. Drive the EnsoCode Electron renderer via Chrome DevTools Protocol on port 9222. Use when verifying UI in the running app, sending a composer chat turn, reading conversation/timeline state, screenshots, CDP, 真机验证, remote-debugging-port, or after changing renderer/main/agent/preload. Use when the user runs /enso-cdp.
Its SKILL.md is about 1.3k tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 3 other files, including scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Browser testing. It works with Chrome DevTools. The repository describes itself as: One Developer. An Entire Fleet of Autonomous Coding Agents. Local-first desktop agent workbench built on Electron + pi. The licence is MIT.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 470def9. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Ships 2 files in scripts/ (JavaScript), which the agent can run.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
nodepnpmcurlosascriptpython3From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use pnpm and curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Enso Cdp loads about 1.3k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 81 tokens; SKILL.md has 327 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); the scripts in this folder are not scanned.
The full file from J3n5en/EnsoCode at commit 470def9, republished under its MIT licence (© J3n5en). 327 words, ~1,343 tokens.
.claude/skills/enso-cdp/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Dev (!app.isPackaged) already opens 9222 in src/main/index.ts. Do not inject TEMP-DEBUG. Packaged builds stay closed.
node scripts/cdp.mjs eval '(async()=>{...})()' # 主窗口执行 JS(支持 await)
node scripts/cdp.mjs eval '...' --page settings.html # 设置窗口
node scripts/cdp.mjs shot /tmp/x.png # 截图
Page.bringToFront 无效,要 OS 级激活:
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to set frontmost of (first process whose name contains "Electron") to true'cdp.mjs drag 已内置这个检查与自动激活;手写鼠标序列时先 eval document.visibilityState 确认。
border-ring):Tailwind 的 focus-within:border-ring 会让 className.includes() 永真。
node scripts/mk-env.mjs /tmp/enso-x 2 # 2 个 fake provider(凭证尾号可区分)
node <repo>/scripts/fake-provider-issue-27.mjs & # 8899;支持 [[tool:name {json}]] 指令
ENSO_USER_DATA_DIR=/tmp/enso-x ENSO_CDP_PORT=9333 pnpm dev
ENSO_CDP_PORT=9333 node scripts/cdp.mjs pages
常用 store 入口(eval 里):window.__stores.sessions.getState() / window.__stores.settings.getState();window.electronAPI.* 是 preload API。
pnpm dev is running.curl -s http://127.0.0.1:9222/json/version — if this fails, restart dev (port is not HMR).type === "page", not json/list[0] (a browser target may come first). Main window is http://localhost:5173/index.html.curl -s http://127.0.0.1:9222/json/list \
| python3 -c "import json,sys; d=json.load(sys.stdin); p=next(x for x in d if x.get('type')=='page'); print(p['webSocketDebuggerUrl'])"Node ≥ 22 has global WebSocket. Enable CDP, then evaluate with monotonic ids:
await send('Runtime.enable');
async function evalExpr(expression) {
const res = await send('Runtime.evaluate', { expression, returnByValue: true, awaitPromise: true });
if (res.result?.exceptionDetails) throw new Error(JSON.stringify(res.result.exceptionDetails));
return res.result?.result?.value;
}send must map replies by id. Renderer vite root is src/renderer: dynamic import /stores/..., never /src/renderer/stores/....
document.body.innerText (tail slice(-1200) for the latest turn). Messages are not in localStorage.localStorage['enso-conversations'] — messages is always [].document.querySelector('textarea').el.shadowRoot, not light DOM.[data-slot=scroll-area-viewport], not window.Page.captureScreenshot { format: 'png' }.Controlled React textarea: assigning .value does not update state. Native setter + input + Enter (no Shift):
await evalExpr(`(() => {
const ta = document.querySelector('textarea');
const proto = Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window.HTMLTextAreaElement.prototype, 'value');
proto.set.call(ta, 'YOUR_PROMPT');
ta.dispatchEvent(new Event('input', { bubbles: true }));
ta.focus();
ta.dispatchEvent(new KeyboardEvent('keydown', {
key: 'Enter', code: 'Enter', which: 13, keyCode: 13, bubbles: true,
}));
return ta.value;
})()`);Wait 5–25s for the turn, then read the text tail. Do not assert immediately.
Failed assistant text stays in the transcript. Judge “no error” on new timestamps or the tail, not the whole innerText.
src/main / src/agent / src/preload: restart pnpm dev or CDP is still the old worker.Do not leave test sessions, scratch scripts, or mutated settings.json / userData behind. Backup real user files before touching them; restore and checksum after.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Enso Cdp needs JavaScript for the scripts in its folder and the command-line tools its instructions call (node, pnpm, curl, osascript and python3). Our summary lists: Python 3; Node.js.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use curl, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. The check reads SKILL.md only: the scripts in the folder are not scanned, so read them before running anything.
Enso Cdp is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 1.3k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 5.4k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
