specsep-qaBuild, run, or diagnose the repository-owned iccSpecSepToTiff QA suites and their checked-in spectral TIFF fixtures.
Specsep QA is an agent skill from InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV. Build, run, or diagnose the repository-owned iccSpecSepToTiff QA suites and their checked-in spectral TIFF fixtures.
Its SKILL.md is about 770 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development. The repository describes itself as: iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools that allow for the interaction, manipulation, and application of ICC color management profiles. The licence is BSD-3-Clause.
5 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 3c2425d. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves these tools, so the agent can use them without asking each time:
bashreadgrepglobshell(git:*)From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
Shell commands in SKILL.md call:
gitFrom the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Specsep QA loads about 774 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 32 tokens; SKILL.md has 318 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV at commit 3c2425d, republished under its BSD-3-Clause licence (© InternationalColorConsortium). 318 words, ~774 tokens.

ICCDEV_TOOLS_DIR=/path/to/iccDEV/Build/Tools \
/path/to/iccDEV/.github/scripts/iccdev-specsep-campaign.sh --seconds 300The numbered-fixture child suite runs every checked-in valid TIFF as a single-channel input with all four compression and planar combinations.
The profile sweep runs twice, because a profile is accepted only when its sample
count matches the generated TIFF: once at the default eight channels across
Testing/CalcTest, which can only produce rejections, and once at
--channels 3 across Testing/, whose single depth-1 profile is the 3-channel
sRGB v4 preference. A run that accepts nothing says so, so a rejection-only
corpus cannot look like full coverage. For a local registry download, rerun with
--profile-dir /path/to/profiles and a --channels value the corpus can match;
accepted profiles must be embedded, while profile-specific clean rejections are
expected.
The extended campaign requires Python numpy, tifffile, and imagecodecs --
tifffile defers LZW decoding to imagecodecs and half the matrix writes LZW. It
preserves a
machine-readable text summary, representative iccTiffDump/tiffinfo
inspections, generated inputs, and output TIFFs under ICCDEV_TEST_OUTDIR.
It exits nonzero for either a functional failure or a specification-audit
finding; review both categories in matrix-summary.txt.

Specsep QA fits situations like: development work in your project.
Run `npx skills add InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV --skill specsep-qa -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/specsep-qa in InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV) into .claude/skills/specsep-qa in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV --skill specsep-qa -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.github/skills/specsep-qa in InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV) into .agents/skills/specsep-qa in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add InternationalColorConsortium/iccDEV --skill specsep-qa -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/specsep-qa, .gemini/skills/specsep-qa, .github/skills/specsep-qa and .opencode/skills/specsep-qa in your project.
Going by SKILL.md and its folder, Specsep QA needs the command-line tools its instructions call (git). Our summary lists: Python 3. Its frontmatter pre-approves these tools: bash, read, grep, glob, shell(git:*).
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Specsep QA is published under the BSD-3-Clause licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 774 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
