ccxtFetches public crypto market data (candles, tickers, order books, trades) from 100+ exchanges through CCXT, and serves as the fallback when OKX is unavailable.
CCXT is a unified Python library for cryptocurrency exchanges, covering 100+ of them including Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase and Kraken. The skill sticks to public market data, which needs no API key, and lists the key methods: fetch_ohlcv for historical candles, fetch_ticker and fetch_tickers for quotes, fetch_order_book and fetch_trades.
Practical details include the slash symbol format such as BTC/USDT, which the project's loader converts from the hyphen form, the supported timeframes from 1m to 1M (check exchange.timeframes, since support varies), exchange selection through the CCXT_EXCHANGE variable with binance as the default, and pagination through the since parameter. The built-in loader pages automatically up to 200 pages and acts as a fallback when the OKX loader is not available.

CCXT Crypto Market Data loads about 544 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 30 tokens; SKILL.md has 191 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Note: not all exchanges support all timeframes. Use exchange.timeframes to check.
CCXT uses slash format: BTC/USDT, ETH/BTC, SOL/USDT
The project's DataLoader automatically converts BTC-USDT (hyphen) to BTC/USDT (slash).
Set via environment variable: CCXT_EXCHANGE=binance (default)
Popular exchanges: binance, bybit, okx, coinbase, kraken, bitget, gate
The project has a built-in CCXT DataLoader at backtest/loaders/ccxt_loader.py. It serves as a fallback when the OKX loader is unavailable.
For long history, CCXT paginates via the since parameter (millisecond timestamp). The built-in loader handles this automatically (up to 200 pages).
