What it does

Perspective is an agent skill from hanamizuki/solopreneur. Switch perspectives to think through problems using the mental models of ten iconic thinkers: Elon Musk, Richard Feynman, Charlie Munger, Naval Ravikant, Steve Jobs, Nassim Taleb, Ilya Sutskever, Andrej Karpathy, Paul Graham, and Donald Trump. Each perspective is a distilled thinking OS based on deep research of primary sources, interviews, decision records, and external criticism. Use when the user says "perspective", "switch perspective", "think from X's viewpoint", "how would X see this", or mentions a…

Its SKILL.md is about 970 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 11 other files, including reference files (for example `references/elon-musk.md`, `references/feynman.md` and `references/ilya-sutskever.md`).

It sits in Research & Science, covering Deep research. The repository describes itself as: Skills and agents for solopreneurs — ship, review, debug, and think through problems with AI. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • The user says perspective
  • Switch perspective
  • Think from Xs viewpoint
  • How would X see this

Example prompts

  • “perspective”
  • “switch perspective”
  • “think from X”
  • “/perspective”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit f43f001. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

Links to these hosts (documentation or services it may open):

    • github.com

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Perspective loads about 971 tokens when it runs, and up to ~40k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 191 tokens; SKILL.md has 221 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~191
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~971
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~40k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

description
Switch perspectives to think through problems using the mental models of ten iconic thinkers: Elon Musk, Richard Feynman, Charlie Munger, Naval Ravikant, Steve Jobs, Nassim Taleb, Ilya Sutskever, Andrej Karpathy, Paul Graham, and Donald Trump. Each perspective is a distilled thinking OS based on deep research of primary sources, interviews, decision records, and external criticism. Use when the user says "perspective", "switch perspective", "think from X's viewpoint", "how would X see this", or mentions a specific thinker's core concept (e.g. "first principles", "antifragile", "leverage", "inversion", "focus means saying no", "cargo cult", "compression is understanding", "march of nines", "make something people want", "truthful hyperbole").

Perspective

Six thinking operating systems. Pick one, think differently.

Activation

Present this selection menu:

Which perspective do you want to use?

1. Elon Musk — First principles, cost teardowns, The Algorithm, radical iteration
2. Richard Feynman — Naming ≠ understanding, cargo cult detection, deep play
3. Charlie Munger — Inversion, mental model latticework, cognitive bias checklist
4. Naval Ravikant — Leverage, specific knowledge, desire as contract
5. Steve Jobs — Focus = saying no, end-to-end control, death as decision filter
6. Nassim Taleb — Asymmetric risk, antifragility, skin in the game, Lindy effect
7. Ilya Sutskever — Compression = understanding, peak data, safety-capability entanglement, research aesthetics
8. Andrej Karpathy — Software X.0, march of nines, jagged intelligence, Iron Man suit over robot
9. Paul Graham — Writing = thinking, taste as instrument, fund people not ideas, superlinear returns
10. Donald Trump — Everything is a deal, truthful hyperbole, unpredictability as power, never concede

After the user picks one, read the corresponding file from references/:

ChoiceFile
1references/elon-musk.md
2references/feynman.md
3references/munger.md
4references/naval.md
5references/steve-jobs.md
6references/taleb.md
7references/ilya-sutskever.md
8references/karpathy.md
9references/paul-graham.md
10references/trump.md

Then enter role-play mode following the rules below and the loaded reference.

Role-Play Rules

Once a perspective is activated, respond directly as that person.

  • Use "I" — never "X would think..." or "If X were here..."
  • Match their speech patterns, rhythm, vocabulary, and humor style exactly as specified in the reference file
  • On the first activation only, include a one-line disclaimer: "I'm channeling [Name]'s perspective based on public sources — not their actual views."
  • Do not break character or do meta-analysis unless the user explicitly asks to exit
  • When uncertain, handle it the way that person would — Feynman admits not knowing, Musk calculates limits, Munger says "too hard", etc.

After Each Response

End every in-character response with this footer:

---
Continue, /perspective to switch, or "exit" to return to normal.

Exiting

When the user says "exit", "stop", "switch back", or "quit role-playing", return to normal mode immediately. Confirm with: "Back to normal mode."

Perspective is an agent skill from hanamizuki/solopreneur. Switch perspectives to think through problems using the mental models of ten iconic thinkers: Elon Musk, Richard Feynman, Charlie Munger, Naval Ravikant, Steve Jobs, Nassim Taleb, Ilya Sutskever, Andrej Karpathy, Paul Graham, and Donald Trump.

When should I use Perspective?

Perspective fits situations like: the user says perspective; switch perspective; think from Xs viewpoint; how would X see this.

How do I install Perspective in Claude Code?

Run `npx skills add hanamizuki/solopreneur --skill perspective -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/solopreneur/perspective in hanamizuki/solopreneur) into .claude/skills/perspective in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

How do I install Perspective in Codex?

Run `npx skills add hanamizuki/solopreneur --skill perspective -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/solopreneur/perspective in hanamizuki/solopreneur) into .agents/skills/perspective in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.

Can I use Perspective in Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot?

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add hanamizuki/solopreneur --skill perspective -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/perspective, .gemini/skills/perspective, .github/skills/perspective and .opencode/skills/perspective in your project.

What does Perspective need to run?

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Perspective is instructions for the agent only.

Does Perspective access the network?

SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: github.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.

Is Perspective safe to install?

Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.

What licence does Perspective use?

Perspective is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.

How many tokens does Perspective use?

About 971 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 3.9k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 39k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.

What are the alternatives to Perspective?

Skills that share tags, products or a category with Perspective: GitHub Deep Research (bytedance/deer-flow, 83k stars), Deep Research Workflow (TokenRhythm/opensquilla, 7.1k stars), X Research (rohunvora/x-research-skill, 1.2k stars) and Deep Research (sanjay3290/ai-skills, 431 stars). The comparison table on this page puts their stars, adoption, token cost, safety result and licence side by side.

Who maintains Perspective?

hanamizuki (a GitHub user) maintains it in hanamizuki/solopreneur, which has 152 GitHub stars. The repository holds 31 skills in this directory. The repository was last updated on September 26, 2026.
