What it does

Pixiv CLI Review is an agent skill from FlanChanXwO/pixiv-cli. Review pixiv-cli working changes, commits, or pull requests for requested behavior, Go design, SDK/CLI/MCP contracts, security, native boundaries, and verification gaps. Use for independent review or pre-delivery self-review; review-only unless edits are authorized.

Its SKILL.md is about 940 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).

It sits in Development, covering Pull requests. It works with Model Context Protocol. The repository describes itself as: Pixiv, in your terminal — a CLI, MCP server, and Go SDK for discovery, accounts, creators, collections, and downloads. The licence is MIT.

Example prompts

  • “/pixiv-cli-review”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 0f8e913. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • git

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use git, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Pixiv CLI Review loads about 935 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 71 tokens; SKILL.md has 420 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~71
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~935

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Review pixiv-cli

Fix the review boundary

Inspect git status --short, git diff --stat, and the actual diff. For a PR/commit range, identify base and head SHAs and review that exact range; an empty working diff does not mean the PR has no changes. Read the originating requirement and relevant AGENTS.md routes. Do not guess the review range or treat another agent's summary as evidence.

Review the change, not an imagined framework

  • Behavior: trace changed inputs to outputs and compare with acceptance criteria. Check CLI text/JSON/NDJSON, record identity, logical pagination, optional fields, typed errors, and command-specific defaults. Verify local search filters are not falsely passed upstream.
  • Architecture/Go: apply the develop rules. Check real ownership, interface necessity, context/goroutine lifetime, error classification, and public SDK compatibility. Prefer deleting speculative machinery; length alone is not a finding.
  • Security/state: check secret redaction, SQL/query boundaries, credential revision transactions, atomic writes and commit outcomes, permissions, URL/redirect policy, and trusted-local versus remote input assumptions. Preserve explicitly supported private resource routes rather than applying a blanket network ban.
  • MCP: verify schema validation, SDK routing, separate Pixiv/FANBOX runtimes, protocol-clean stdout and structured errors. Use the MCP workflow for changes at that boundary.
  • Native/release: use native or CI only when touched. Review source/artifact identity, platform evidence, permissions, and immutable handoffs, not exact YAML formatting or arbitrary job counts.
  • Tests/docs: apply the coverage-gap decision. Require the missing scenario and why existing checks would miss it before requesting another test; do not request per-helper tests or duplicate layer assertions. Preserve actual Red/Green and relevant regression evidence. A fixture does not establish live API or real native/browser acceptance.
  • Readability: apply the commenting rules. Check whether an extraction reduces total mental effort rather than just line count; reject noisy per-line comments, unsupported guarantees, and mandatory stage numbering. Either source-comment language is acceptable. Preserve machine-consumed directives and affected locale/product contracts.

Verify suspected findings at exact code locations and with the smallest safe test where useful. Do not add dependencies, execute real account operations, or make external writes just to investigate. For broad changes, separate independent questions without duplicate reviews; final integration review remains the main agent's responsibility.

Report

Lead with actionable findings: severity, file:line, triggering condition, impact, evidence, and a minimal correction. Separate demonstrated defects from questions and unverified risks. Do not request an abstraction or another test solely to satisfy a checklist.

If no blocking issues are found, state the reviewed scope, checks run, and remaining limitations. Self-review is not approval by another maintainer. Do not modify code, merge, or dismiss remote reviews without authorization.
