What it does

Deploy is an agent skill from duyet/pricetrack. Deploy functions, hosting, or full release to Firebase. Use when deploying changes to production or staging.

Its SKILL.md is about 340 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.

It sits in Data & Analytics. It works with Firebase, Cloud Firestore and npm. The repository describes itself as: Price tracker monitors of products and alerts you when prices drop. Supported tiki.vn, shopee, lotte.vn, ... Built with firebase https://pricetrack.web.app. The licence is MIT.

When your agent uses it

  • Deploying changes to production

Example prompts

  • “/deploy”

Requirements

  • A credential in FIREBASE_TOKEN

Workflow steps

4 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.

  1. Detect changes: If no target specified, check git diff --name-only HEAD~1 to determine what changed
  2. Pre-deploy checks
  3. Deploy
  4. Verify: Check the Firebase deploy output for success/failure URLs.

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit accb727. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

    Shell commands in SKILL.md call:

    • npm
    • git
    • firebase

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npm, git and firebase, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • FIREBASE_TOKEN

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Deploy loads about 338 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 29 tokens; SKILL.md has 143 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~29
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~338

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Deploy Skill

Deploy PriceTrack components to Firebase.

Usage

/deploy [target] where target is one of:

  • functions — deploy Cloud Functions only
  • hosting — deploy frontend only
  • all — deploy everything (functions + hosting + rules)
  • (no argument) — deploy based on changed files

Steps

  1. Detect changes: If no target specified, check git diff --name-only HEAD~1 to determine what changed:

    • functions/** → deploy functions
    • hosting/** → deploy hosting
    • Both → deploy both
  2. Pre-deploy checks:

    • Functions: cd functions && npm run lint
    • Hosting: cd hosting && npm run lint
  3. Deploy:

    • Functions: cd functions && npm run deploy
    • Hosting: cd hosting && npm run deploy
    • All (requires releases branch): firebase deploy --only functions, hosting, database, storage, firestore --token "$FIREBASE_TOKEN" --non-interactive
  4. Verify: Check the Firebase deploy output for success/failure URLs.

Notes

  • Deploy requires FIREBASE_TOKEN env var (set in GitHub Actions secrets)
  • Master push auto-deploys via CI — manual deploy is for local use only
  • releases/* branches trigger full deploy in CI

How do I install Deploy in Codex?

Run `npx skills add duyet/pricetrack --skill deploy -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.claude/skills/deploy in duyet/pricetrack) into .agents/skills/deploy in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.

Can I use Deploy in Cursor, Gemini CLI or GitHub Copilot?

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add duyet/pricetrack --skill deploy -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/deploy, .gemini/skills/deploy, .github/skills/deploy and .opencode/skills/deploy in your project.

What does Deploy need to run?
