What it does
better-icons is a command line tool, also usable as an MCP server, for finding icons across more than 200 libraries served by Iconify and fetching them as SVG. The search command returns matches, with options for a prefix filter, a result limit and JSON output, and the get command prints an icon's SVG, for example redirected into a file. Icon IDs have the form prefix:name, such as lucide:home or mdi:arrow-right.
