odc-commitWrite a commit in this repo — the Conventional Commits subject and the Co-Authored-By trailer naming the model that wrote it.
Odc Commit is an agent skill from DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture. Write a commit in this repo — the Conventional Commits subject and the Co-Authored-By trailer naming the model that wrote it. Use whenever committing, and when a skill or sub-agent commits on its own. Filing the branch as a PR is odc-open-pr's job.
Its SKILL.md is about 430 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. It is a single SKILL.md file with no bundled scripts.
It sits in Development, covering Commit messages and Subagents. The repository describes itself as: An electronic data capture platform for administering remote and in-person clinical instruments. The licence is Apache-2.0.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 432dec8. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Odc Commit loads about 427 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 198 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture at commit 432dec8, republished under its Apache-2.0 licence (© DouglasNeuroInformatics). 198 words, ~427 tokens.
.claude/skills/odc-commit/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).Every commit an agent writes ends with:
Co-Authored-By: <your own model name>Name yourself. Not the harness you run in, not the model that wrote an earlier commit, not a guess — the model producing the commit. No email: this trailer is read by a person, not by GitHub.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context)
Co-Authored-By: GPT-5.1 Codex
Co-Authored-By: Gemini 3 ProSpell it identically every time. .agents/skills/odc-open-pr/SKILL.md collects these across a
branch by exact string, so one model under two spellings reads as two models.
A commit the user wrote alone carries no trailer. Two models on one commit carry one line each.
Because the trailer has no email, GitHub will not render it as a co-author — that is the point. The lines exist so the user can see which models touched a branch while reviewing it.
type(scope): subject, one of the 11 @commitlint/config-conventional types. scope is optional
and, when present, must be a workspace name without the @opendatacapture/ prefix —
commitlint.config.ts builds that enum from pnpm-workspace.yaml, so a non-workspace scope such as
skills or ci fails the commit-msg hook. Leave it off rather than inventing one.
One commit is one CHANGELOG.md entry for feat, fix, perf and breaking changes. Write the
subject for the person reading the changelog.

yamadashy/repomix
Writes Conventional Commits whose bodies carry action lines recording the intent, decisions and constraints behind a change, not only what changed.
prisma/orm

Odc Commit fits situations like: sub-agent commits on its own; tasks that involve Commit messages; tasks that involve Subagents.
Run `npx skills add DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture --skill odc-commit -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/odc-commit in DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture) into .claude/skills/odc-commit in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture --skill odc-commit -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (.agents/skills/odc-commit in DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture) into .agents/skills/odc-commit in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add DouglasNeuroInformatics/OpenDataCapture --skill odc-commit -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/odc-commit, .gemini/skills/odc-commit, .github/skills/odc-commit and .opencode/skills/odc-commit in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Odc Commit is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Odc Commit is published under the Apache-2.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 427 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
