dbs-ai-checkScans copy for signs of AI-generated writing and returns a report quoting each hit in text order; it diagnoses by default and guides rewriting only on request.
The skill is written in Chinese and takes a stance: it exists to help you see which traits in your text look machine-made, not to disguise the text as human. Its core idea is that AI prose tends to be too perfect, too smooth and too even, with no rough edges or points the author has not worked out. By default it only identifies and never rewrites.
Given a draft, it checks 22 traits one by one, such as blocking every possible objection, evenly paced parallel lists, a reused concession template, naming concepts as a ritual, an emotional curve that is too smooth, no hesitation anywhere, a punchy closing line in every paragraph and sentences of near-identical length. The report follows the text order, quotes the original passage for each hit, grades it as a strong, medium or weak signal, and says plainly when a text shows few signs.
If you then say you want to change the text, it switches to guided mode. For each hit, starting from the most severe, it asks one question about the intent behind the trait and waits, then offers a direction rather than a finished rewrite, and writes concrete changes only when you ask and in line with your answers. It warns that short-video scripts with a punchline per paragraph are a genre habit, so it asks about genre first.

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

AI Writing Trait Checker loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 18 tokens; SKILL.md has 327 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 327 words (~1,175 tokens).

AI Writing Trait Checker fits situations like: checking a draft for machine-like patterns before publishing it; getting a quoted, passage-by-passage report on AI traits in a text; working out your own phrasing after a draft has been flagged.
Run `npx skills add dontbesilent2025/dbskill --skill dbs-ai-check -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/dbs-ai-check in dontbesilent2025/dbskill) into .claude/skills/dbs-ai-check in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add dontbesilent2025/dbskill --skill dbs-ai-check -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/dbs-ai-check in dontbesilent2025/dbskill) into .agents/skills/dbs-ai-check in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add dontbesilent2025/dbskill --skill dbs-ai-check -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/dbs-ai-check, .gemini/skills/dbs-ai-check, .github/skills/dbs-ai-check and .opencode/skills/dbs-ai-check in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: AI Writing Trait Checker is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
AI Writing Trait Checker has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
