set-up-openwork-slackConfigures and verifies the OpenWork Slack assistant for an approved private-alpha organization, merging manifest changes into its existing Slack app.
Working through the user's already signed-in OpenWork and Slack admin sessions in a browser, the agent identifies the OpenWork organization, Slack workspace, existing app and connector, and avoids creating duplicates. In the Slack connector it checks eligibility, rollout and runtime access, installation, enabled state, signing-secret presence and channel and reply settings, and reports exactly which prerequisite is missing instead of changing deployment settings unprompted. It asks about channel scope: blank channel IDs allow all channels but do not invite the bot, and private replies are a suggested rollout default.
Configuration reads the generated manifest and the app's current one and merges them without removing existing scopes, redirects or MCP settings. Required bot scopes include app_mentions:read, chat:write, im:history, im:read, im:write, assistant:write and commands, plus events such as app_mention, message.im and app_home_opened. URLs come from the deployment under `/v1/integrations/slack/`, the bot display name is openwork, App Home must allow messages and slash commands, and the agent experience must be on. If Slack rejects `agent_view.enabled`, the exported agent_view structure is kept.

OpenWork Slack Setup loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 65 tokens; SKILL.md has 598 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 598 words (~1,187 tokens).

vercel-labs/agent-browser
Drives the Slack web app with the agent-browser CLI to check unread channels, search, read channel details and extract information, with screenshots as evidence.
ComposioHQ/composio
Route and complete Composio work across Composio For You and Composio Platform.
huangruiteng/CS-Notes
A skill your agent uses when you need to control Slack from Clawdbot via the slack tool, including reacting to messages or pinning/unpinning items in Slack channels or DMs.
yc-software/qm
Show the app connection picker or setup widget when users ask to connect apps, reopen setup, or need an app that isn't connected yet.
ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills
Connects an agent to 1000+ external apps through the Composio Tool Router plugin, so it can actually send emails, create issues and post messages instead of only drafting them.
different-ai/openwork
Drives a running OpenWork desktop window over CDP from the shell to evaluate JS, take screenshots, start sessions and send prompts for hand checks.
different-ai/openwork
Makes the desktop app's model provider fail on demand, with refused connections, resets, stalls and HTTP 4xx and 5xx errors, so error and retry states can be reproduced.
different-ai/openwork
Manages OpenWork's inference model aliases, discounts and overlays over the upstream OpenRouter catalog, and triggers the GitHub workflow that refreshes base models.
different-ai/openwork
Fires known chat states in the running OpenWork desktop app, such as provider errors, retries and tool steps, so you can check how each renders.
different-ai/openwork
Attaches OpenCode browser tools to the OpenWork Electron dev app through CDP to explore its UI, send a composer task and debug, not to give test verdicts.
different-ai/openwork
Covers Daytona CLI setup, sandbox debugging, keeping a sandbox alive and which credentials the CLI uses, for when Daytona itself is the problem rather than the tests.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: OpenWork Slack Setup is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: An OpenWork organization approved for the private alpha; Admin access to the Slack workspace and its existing Slack app; Signed-in browser sessions for OpenWork and Slack.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. As links in the text: openworklabs.com. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
OpenWork Slack Setup has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
