At a glance

Manages CLI tool integrations in OmniRoute through its HTTP API: backups, runtime info, guide settings and per-tool settings and profiles for Claude, Cline and Codex.

  • Listing the CLI tool integrations an OmniRoute instance exposes
  • SKILL.md covers Overview, Authentication, Endpoints and Payloads
  • Needs REQUIRE_API_KEY
  • Reading or changing the Claude, Cline or Codex settings stored in OmniRoute

What it does

This skill documents the OmniRoute endpoints under /api/cli-tools, which list, configure and invoke CLI tool plugins. The visible endpoints cover backups (read and create), runtime and guide settings for a given tool, an Antigravity MITM service with an alias that can be read and updated, and settings or profiles for Claude, Cline and Codex that can be read, written and deleted.

Every request needs a Bearer token or a session cookie. You get a token from POST /api/auth/login, or you set REQUIRE_API_KEY=false for local development. Each endpoint links to its details in references/endpoints.md.

When your agent uses it

  • Listing the CLI tool integrations an OmniRoute instance exposes
  • Reading or changing the Claude, Cline or Codex settings stored in OmniRoute
  • Creating or listing CLI tool configuration backups through the API

Example prompts

  • “List the CLI tools my OmniRoute instance exposes and show the Codex profiles.”
  • “Create a backup of the CLI tool settings before I change the Claude settings.”
  • “Log in to the local OmniRoute API and fetch the Cline settings.”

Requirements

  • A running OmniRoute instance
  • A Bearer token or session cookie, or REQUIRE_API_KEY=false for local use

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8ad6b1c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names these keys or tokens, usually read from environment variables:

    • REQUIRE_API_KEY

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

OmniRoute CLI Tools API loads about 2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~7.9k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 38 tokens; SKILL.md has 210 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~38
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~2k
With references · SKILL.md plus every file in references/, read only if the agent opens them
~7.9k

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
