cli-providersCommand reference for managing provider connections in the omniroute gateway: browse the catalog, test and validate connections, rotate API keys and read per-provider metrics.
The providers group starts with discovery: available shows the gateway's catalog and can be filtered by search text or category, and list shows the connections you have configured. A single connection can be tested by ID or name, all active connections can be tested together, and validate checks local configuration without calling the upstream service. Most of these take a JSON output flag.
Key rotation works on one connection and supports a new key, a key read from an environment variable, an OAuth flow, a dry run, skipping the post-rotation test and a confirmation switch. Status and metrics commands report per provider or connection over a chosen period, with metric selection, sorting, a watch mode and comparison across a list. A separate test-provider command can run across all providers, measure latency, repeat requests, compare models and save results to a path.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 8ad6b1c. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

No URLs in SKILL.md. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called.

OmniRoute Providers CLI loads about 2.2k tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 43 tokens; SKILL.md has 359 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from diegosouzapw/OmniRoute at commit 8ad6b1c, republished under its MIT licence (© diegosouzapw). 359 words, ~2,156 tokens.

Going by SKILL.md and its folder, OmniRoute Providers CLI needs the command-line tools its instructions call (npm). Our summary lists: The omniroute CLI, installed with npm or run through npx.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Its commands use npm, which can reach the network depending on how they are called. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
OmniRoute Providers CLI is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 2.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 8.6k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
