ai-safe2-secure-build-copilotApplies the AI SAFE2 framework to security reviews, code reviews and compliance mapping for AI agents, RAG pipelines and MCP servers.
The skill is a control-anchored governance and security review layer for agentic systems, not a general coding aid. The agent first sorts the request into an architecture review across five pillars, a code review, a governance decision, a compliance mapping or a vulnerability and incident assessment. For any agent design it states the ACT tier, flags the HEAR requirement for the highest tiers, CP.9 when an agent can spawn sub-agents, and CP.8 catastrophic-risk thresholds for high-autonomy or regulated deployments.
Code reviews put findings first with control IDs and concrete fixes, looking for prompt injection, indirect injection, tool misuse, secrets in context, unsafe memory writes, missing trace logging, missing recursion limits and absent human approval paths. Compliance requests map each recommendation to control IDs and name the evidence artifacts to produce, against frameworks such as ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, FedRAMP, CMMC 2.0 and DORA. Three reference files cover governance, review and mapping, and evals, and are read only as needed.
2 steps, taken from the step headings in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 065241a. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are markdown).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
AI SAFE2 Secure Build Copilot loads about 1.2k tokens when it runs, and up to ~3.1k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 134 tokens; SKILL.md has 528 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
Its licence (Custom licence) doesn't allow us to republish the file, so here is its outline and opening line. It has 528 words (~1,184 tokens).
“Apply AI SAFE2 as a control-anchored governance and security review layer for agentic systems. Treat this as a security and compliance skill, not a general-purpose AI coding skill.”

Run `npx skills add CyberStrategyInstitute/ai-safe2-framework --skill ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/codex/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot in CyberStrategyInstitute/ai-safe2-framework) into .claude/skills/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.

Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add CyberStrategyInstitute/ai-safe2-framework --skill ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot, .gemini/skills/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot, .github/skills/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot and .opencode/skills/ai-safe2-secure-build-copilot in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: AI SAFE2 Secure Build Copilot is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
AI SAFE2 Secure Build Copilot has a licence file (the repository's licence) that doesn't match a standard licence. Read it on GitHub before reusing the skill.
About 1.2k tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 4.7k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 1.9k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
