What it does

Test HTTP Intermediaries is an agent skill from cyberful/cyberful. Route HTTP intermediary testing across request normalization, web-cache behavior, and offline traffic evidence. Use when clients, CDNs, reverse proxies, gateways, meshes, caches, frameworks, or origins may disagree about message boundaries, routing, identity, normalization, or cache keys.

Its SKILL.md is about 630 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files (for example `agents/openai.yaml`).

It sits in Databases, covering Database schema design and Cloud networking. The repository describes itself as: Cyberful is an open-source AI Red Team for discovering, exploiting, verifying, and remediating vulnerabilities. The licence is AGPL-3.0.

Example prompts

  • “/test-http-intermediaries”

What it can do on your machine

Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit ec598a6. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.

  • Tool permissions

Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.

  • Runs code

No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.

From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

  • Network

    No URLs in SKILL.md.

From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.

  • Credentials

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.

Context cost

Test HTTP Intermediaries loads about 630 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 79 tokens; SKILL.md has 203 words of instructions outside code blocks.

Always · name and description, kept in context so the agent knows when to use it
~79
When it runs · the whole SKILL.md, loaded when a task matches
~630

Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.

Safety

Auto-check passed

The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.

Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

Test HTTP Intermediaries

Use this router to identify which HTTP interpretation boundary needs specialist handling. Read each selected specialist's SKILL.md completely before applying its procedure.

Route by evidence question

  • Message framing, protocol translation, duplicate fields, path/query decoding, authority derivation, forwarded headers, method handling, or hop-to-hop disagreement: trace-request-normalization.
  • Cache keys, response-varying inputs, authenticated caching, poisoning, deception, collision, TTL, purge, or partitioning: test-web-cache-behavior.
  • HAR, ZAP history, raw request/response captures, proxy traces, cache headers, or repeated observations requiring bounded offline normalization: analyze-http-traffic-evidence.

Desynchronization begins with trace-request-normalization; use live probes only after the predicted disagreement and safe connection model are explicit. Cache tests begin with test-web-cache-behavior; never place a candidate into a shared victim-reachable key without express authorization.

Establish the shared hop model

Record every client, edge, proxy, protocol translator, gateway, mesh, framework, cache, and origin hop. Capture protocol version, connection reuse, routing authority, decoding order, header rewriting, body limits, cache partitioning, and available component logs. Preserve raw traffic before normalizing it.

Report the exact pair of components that disagreed, the bytes or semantic input that triggered the difference, connection or cache prerequisites, bounded observable effect, controls, and evidence paths. An unstable response, header reflection, or cache hit alone is a lead rather than a confirmed vulnerability.
