cy-workflow-memoryMaintains workflow-scoped task memory for CompozyOS runs using .compozy/tasks/<name/memory/ files.
Cy Workflow Memory is an agent skill from compozy/compozy. Maintains workflow-scoped task memory for CompozyOS runs using .compozy/tasks/<name/memory/ files. Use when a task prompt provides workflow memory paths and requires the agent to read, update, compact, and promote durable context across spec task executions. Do not use for PR review remediation, global user preferences, or programmatic event-log summarization.
Its SKILL.md is about 390 tokens, which your agent loads only when the skill is triggered. The skill folder holds 2 other files, including reference files (for example `references/memory-guidelines.md`).
It sits in Writing & Content, covering Pull requests and Summarization. The repository describes itself as: An operating system for AI agents. Plug in the agent CLIs you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor) and they become a team: they split the work, hand tasks to each… The licence is MIT.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit eec2ed1. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.

Cy Workflow Memory loads about 385 tokens when it runs, and up to ~899 if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 96 tokens; SKILL.md has 163 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

.claude/skills/cy-workflow-memory/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder). This skill also uses 1 other file; get the full folder from GitHub.Use the caller-provided shared/current-task memory paths for a continuing workflow. Read them on entry or after lost context; reuse them while current and do not scan unrelated task memories.
Update only when the goal, meaningful decision, blocker, or handoff evidence changes. A new message, status report, or commit alone does not require a rewrite. Keep task-local details in the task file and promote only durable facts another task needs that are not already clear from the spec or repository.
For compaction, preserve current state, decisions, risks, and handoff pointers; remove stale/repeated notes and transcripts. Read references/memory-guidelines.md only when its format or promotion rules are needed. Existing schema headings remain when the caller depends on them.
If a supplied path is missing, inspect the caller's documented initialization contract before reporting a concrete blocker; never guess another workflow's path. Repository contracts and current user decisions override stale notes. A short task without a supplied continuity requirement does not need a new memory subsystem.

Cy Workflow Memory fits situations like: A task prompt provides workflow memory paths and requires the agent to read; promote durable context across spec task executions; PR review remediation; global user preferences.
Run `npx skills add compozy/compozy --skill cy-workflow-memory -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (extensions/spec-cycle/skills/cy-workflow-memory in compozy/compozy) into .claude/skills/cy-workflow-memory in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add compozy/compozy --skill cy-workflow-memory -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (extensions/spec-cycle/skills/cy-workflow-memory in compozy/compozy) into .agents/skills/cy-workflow-memory in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add compozy/compozy --skill cy-workflow-memory -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/cy-workflow-memory, .gemini/skills/cy-workflow-memory, .github/skills/cy-workflow-memory and .opencode/skills/cy-workflow-memory in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Cy Workflow Memory is instructions for the agent only.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Cy Workflow Memory is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 385 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 514 tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
