code-mate-github-copilotRuns GitHub Copilot CLI non-interactively on a repository task and reads its JSONL output, denying tools by default so nothing changes unless you ask.
To obtain a Copilot coding-agent result, this skill has the agent call `copilot -p` with JSON output and a no-ask-user flag from the project directory you named, under a finite timeout of about 10 minutes. Availability is checked first with `command -v copilot`; if it is missing, the agent stops and asks you to install it in Code Mate.
Stdout is parsed as JSONL. An error event or a nonzero exit means failure, and since the published exit codes are incomplete, the event stream carries the real verdict. The `--no-ask-user` flag avoids a stuck approval prompt, tools stay denied, and only when you request workspace edits are narrowly scoped `--allow-tool` entries added, never `--allow-all`. A missing login, subscription or token ends the run with a request that you configure Copilot CLI yourself.
3 steps, taken from the first numbered list in SKILL.md.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit dd0767e. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md (its code samples are bash).
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.
No URLs in SKILL.md.
From URLs in SKILL.md, links to its own repository left out.
Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
GitHub Copilot CLI Delegation loads about 365 tokens when it runs. Until then it costs about 51 tokens; SKILL.md has 179 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.
The full file from CherryHQ/cherry-studio at commit dd0767e, republished under its AGPL-3.0 licence (© CherryHQ). 179 words, ~365 tokens.
.claude/skills/code-mate-github-copilot/SKILL.md (or your agent's skills folder).command -v copilot. If it is missing, stop and ask the user to install GitHub Copilot CLI in Code Mate.copilot -p "<prompt>" -s --output-format json --no-ask-userPass the prompt as one quoted argument. Parse stdout as JSONL and treat an error event or nonzero exit as failure; the published exit-code contract is incomplete. Never start the interactive UI or an authentication flow.
If Copilot reports a missing login, subscription, or token configuration, stop and ask the user to configure GitHub Copilot CLI in Code Mate. Never request, read, print, or copy credentials.
--no-ask-user prevents an unattended approval prompt. Keep tools denied by default. When the user explicitly requests workspace changes, add only narrowly scoped --allow-tool entries; never use --allow-all as a shortcut.
Example: ask Copilot to explain a failing test without modifying files, run the command above, and summarize the final JSONL result plus any denied tool request.

GitHub Copilot CLI Delegation fits situations like: delegating a code explanation or analysis task to Copilot CLI; collecting a Copilot coding-agent result to compare with another agent; letting Copilot edit specific files under tightly scoped tool permissions.

SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: GitHub Copilot CLI Delegation is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: GitHub Copilot CLI installed through Code Mate; A Copilot login and subscription.
SKILL.md contains no URLs. Any network use would come from the scripts or tools the agent runs. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
GitHub Copilot CLI Delegation is published under the AGPL-3.0 licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 365 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 1.5k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full.
