browsing-capterraExtracts software product ratings, pricing and written user reviews from Capterra pages with a real browser, since the site has no public API.
This is an index of two read-only actions that each have their own reference file. Product overview collects the product name, overall rating out of 5, total review count, rating breakdown by ease of use, customer service, features and value, a short description and pricing when shown. Product reviews collects individual reviews, with reviewer name, role, company size, overall rating, title, pros, cons and published date.
Because Capterra is a JavaScript-rendered app with no public API, the data comes from rendered pages in a real browser. Product pages follow a `/p/` path with an ID and slug, and the reviews page adds `/reviews/` to that path. Embedded JSON-LD structured data is described as the most reliable source for aggregate ratings. The actions never submit reviews, vote or change account data, and the benchmark table in the file has no results filled in.
Read from SKILL.md and the folder at commit 07855b5. It shows what the files ask for, not the result of running them.
Pre-approves nothing: there is no allowed-tools line, so your agent's usual permission prompts apply.
From allowed-tools in the SKILL.md frontmatter.
No scripts in the folder and no shell commands in SKILL.md.
From the folder's file list and the shell code blocks in SKILL.md.

Names no API keys, tokens, secrets or passwords.
From names ending in _API_KEY, _TOKEN, _SECRET, _KEY or _PASSWORD in SKILL.md.
Capterra Data Extraction loads about 532 tokens when it runs, and up to ~4.6k if it reads all its reference files. Until then it costs about 100 tokens; SKILL.md has 210 words of instructions outside code blocks.
Estimates: characters ÷ 4, the usual rule of thumb; real counts depend on the model's tokenizer. Scripts and assets cost tokens only if the agent reads them.
The automated check found no risky patterns in SKILL.md.
Automated static check — not a guarantee. Review scripts before installing. It scans the text of SKILL.md for risky patterns (piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files, hidden Unicode, destructive commands); files beside SKILL.md are not scanned.

This skill also uses 2 other files; get the full folder from GitHub.Use this index to choose the Capterra action that matches the user request, then open only the linked reference file for the complete navigation, requirements, code, and return shape.
Benchmarks compare the maintained skill action against a no-skill browser agent that inspects the live page DOM and derives selectors at runtime. Full notes live in BENCHMARKS.md.

Run `npx skills add browsing-skills/browsing-skills --skill browsing-capterra -a claude-code`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/capterra.com in browsing-skills/browsing-skills) into .claude/skills/browsing-capterra in your project. Claude Code loads it when a task matches its description.
Run `npx skills add browsing-skills/browsing-skills --skill browsing-capterra -a codex`. Or copy the skill folder (skills/capterra.com in browsing-skills/browsing-skills) into .agents/skills/browsing-capterra in your project. Codex loads it when a task matches its description.
Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode also load SKILL.md folders. With the skills CLI, run `npx skills add browsing-skills/browsing-skills --skill browsing-capterra -a cursor` (or -a gemini-cli, github-copilot or opencode for the others). To copy it by hand, put the folder in .cursor/skills/browsing-capterra, .gemini/skills/browsing-capterra, .github/skills/browsing-capterra and .opencode/skills/browsing-capterra in your project.
SKILL.md names no scripts, command-line tools or credentials: Capterra Data Extraction is instructions for the agent only. Our summary lists: A real browser the agent can drive, since the pages are rendered with JavaScript.
SKILL.md names 1 domain. In commands or code: capterra.com; the agent is likely to contact it when it follows the instructions. This is read from the text; nothing was executed.
Our automated static check of SKILL.md found no risky patterns, such as piping downloads into a shell, reading credential files or hidden Unicode. It is not a guarantee. Review the folder before installing.
Capterra Data Extraction is published under the MIT licence (the repository's licence). It allows redistribution, so the full SKILL.md is shown on this page.
About 532 tokens (SKILL.md is roughly 2.1k characters). Agents keep only the skill's name and description in context until a task matches; then they load SKILL.md in full. Its references folder adds about 4.1k tokens, read only when the agent opens those files.
